Their was a trade with Golden State that fell through according to a site I checked on back on the trade deadline. Not sure what we would have got back in return for Perk and Nate but I think that Doc was right in making that move and thankfully Doc and Danny do have that connection cause who knows who we would have instead. I'm happy with Green and Krstic.

If it was the Battier for Perk (as the base of the trade) I would have certainly vetoed it, too!

It was allegedly supposed to be that, with the intention of sending Wright to another team immediately as part of another deal.  It was rumored to be possibly be for Battier with one of the sticking points allegedly being that Houston wanted a future first round pick.

  Danny hinted at that (earlier version of OKC trade) on the radio yesterday although I doubt he'd be talking much about trade talks that didn't come to fruition.

Interesting how in The Association it is presented as a Perk for Green trade with Nate thrown in: Krstic doesn't even get a mention. Seems like ancient history by now, but that's how it was first perceived.  (Ya, I know, not exactly on topic, but I found it interesting.)

Diamond in the rough?

He was the fifth overall draft pick in the NBA, behind only Greg Oden, Kevin Durant, Al Horford, and Mike Conley. The Celtics traded away a good starting C for him, he's not exactly a find from the waste bin.
