Williams makes that whole team so much better than they are . I have given up on Dwight to the C's in 2012. The Nets have the pieces to make a trade for Howard if needed by packaging Lopez and draft picks or if he becomes a free agent they will have the money to offer him a max contract .

With a roster of

PG: Williams
SG: Morrow
SF: Outlaw
PF: Humphries
 C: Howard

that is a very good young core that can grow into contenders with a few more additions to the roster . He will join them just in time for when they move to Brooklyn and be a hero there if he brings a championship to Brooklyn for the first time since the Brooklyn Dodgers.

The C's are his main competition and he battles against them in the playoffs every year, don't think he is going to want to join the C's to get a ring, he wants to beat them .

I really hope I am wrong on this , but I am just not seeing it happen anymore.

The C's will likely be left going after DeAndre jordan and Javel McGee, which are very young athletic big men with a lot of upside and would fit well with Rondo, but they aren't Dwight Howard  :-\

I've stopped "Dwight Watch" - I was started to become a little Knicks-fan-like. In 2012, I'll be on the edge of my seat until he announces where he'll be taking his talents but I'm just gonna enjoy now while we're in the moment.... With that said, I think JaVale McGee would be a terrific fit with Rondo & Green for the future - maybe even try to pull some trade for OJ Mayo (BBD sign & trade + a 1st perhaps?) this offseason.
2021 Houston Rockets

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman
