Just wait... I'm 100% sure Rondo will improve and will get out of his slump... Wow... my first post.

Mo Williams started over Delonte in Cleveland...and the last time I checked, Mo Williams didn't even reside in the same zip code as Rondo.

Not in the same zip code? I have time believing this when Williams just torched Rondo a few games ago.

Was that the first time you've ever seen them play each other, or did you spend the Cleveland series secretly (or not so secretly) wishing we could have Mo Williams running our offense instead of Rondo?

Only - and only IF - Rondo is injured, which I saw him hobbling yesterday during the NJ game.

Doc - You and The Big Three get in Rondo's face and tell him to sit a few games to get himself right physically. Besides being a top PG when healthy, the man is stubborn.

Tell him to rest, so that way when/if we play CHI in the playoffs, he can remind Rose of what happened in 08-09 playoffs, when Rose couldn't stop him.

Good post, Greenfaith, and I agree. Rhondo is stubborn and he surely needs to rest, especially after getting hurt when he came down on his ankle last night.

Delonte should be in street clothes all year. I dont think he should crack our rotation at all.

No.  Delonte is just coming back from injury.  I'd start Arroyo if Rondo is hurt or needs to be benched.

Once West has shown himself to be 100% you sit Rondo until he is finally 100%.

As of now he is not being a threat to drive to the hoop. If he just stands at the top of the key until someone gets open without being a threat to score himself no one will get open because his defender will help off of him. His reluctance to get to the basket is killing our offense. He is currently afraid to get to the hoop. To me he is afraid to get to the hoop because he is hurt and afraid to make it worse by getting hit.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I have watched every single game this season and what I personally am seeing from Rondo is a different approach to the game as a whole and in many different facets of his game. In the beginning of the year it seemed like Rondo was feeding off of getting an assist and seeing how many he could get. He was getting 15 a night!! He CONSTANTLY pushed tempo, no matter who we played and he seemed like he always looked for our shooters trailing on the break to get them open threes. He wasn't SETTLING for jumpers. He was constantly moving on offense and slashing into the lane to force teams to sag in and make it that much easier for Paul, Ray, and Kevin to get good looks.

Now I see a Rondo who is walking the ball up the court, and DRIBBLING for at least a good 10 seconds off the shot clock. Has anyone else noticed how many late jumpers we've had to throw up lately because our guys are forced to go 1 on 1 to put up a buzzer beater to avoid a shot clock violation?? On the break, if there ever is one anymore, he takes it straight to the basket and puts up a horrible lay-up instead of looking behind him anymore to hit Ray for a wide open three. I haven't seen him REALLY look for Ray since Ray broke the record which concerns me a lot. He's not penetrating the D at all he's just standing out there waiting for someone to get open and if they don't he goes solo. It seems like 75% of the time its a high pick and roll with him and KG or Baby and it's either an AWFUL Rondo jumper or a mid range KG or Baby jumper, which is fine if they are making them but if they aren't it means long scoring draughts for our team which absolutely kill us and did against the Lakers in Game 7. Everyone talks about the rebounding last year against the Lakers but we couldn't SCORE in the fourth quarter against them and it was because of these droughts this team had. No one talked about how Rondo rose to a different level last year against the Magic and Cavs and then reverted back to his old ways against the Lakers.

Rondo is the Motor that drives this engine and if he isn't playing right, which he isn't right now, then we will fall like we did last year but this time sooner against a team like the Bulls if he doesn't wake up!! There IS something going on here whether it be emotional about PERK being gone or physical with a knee or ankle injury. I just hope we/he figures this out because if he doesn't we're in big trouble. Delonte would be great if he could ever stay healthy to give Rondo a blow but mark my words we CANNOT and WILL NOT win a championship because Delonte is our starting PG. It starts and ends with Rondo. We can only pray he figures this out. He's a Celtic though and I love him and always will as long as he's wearing green.

Celtic fan since I came outta the womb, swear I have Green blood.
I have 17 reasons why my team is better than yours...

I think alot of you are finally seeing what some of us anti-Rondo fans saw along time ago. Rondo should have been traded for Deron Williams if that trade was available or. Chris Paul. Rondo is playing very uninspired ball since Perk left & Ainge should have taking that into account & sold high. Rondo & Perk for Melo & Chauncey? Sometimes it seems like Rondo is sabbotagiing the team to prove to Danny he made a terrible deal. He simply isn't bringing it every night anymore.

Terrible idea on all three accounts. I just dont understand the trade Rondo talks...

1. He's a top 3 point guard in the league.
2. He has one ring plus another trip to the finals. (Have D Will or Paul ever had playoff success?)
3. He's been able to take control of a team that has revolved around 3 future hall of fame talents. (DWILL and Paul have put up great stats on teams where they are the primary offense, not running a system)
4. He is what, 25 years old and hasn't even entered his prime yet.
5. He is our future. We have him signed to a ridiculously bargained deal compared to the rest of the market. Why trade him now?
6. He's an All Star.
7. He leads the league in assists and is a top the steals category.

I don't understand why these ideas come up.

I don't want to break Celtics blog forum code, so I will preface my statement by saying that if I could write this entire post in caps lock (maybe comics sans) I would:

To the people who are saying that we should sit him for disciplinary reasons,

Just looking to clarify: In summary, you're suggesting benching our all-star point guard who is currently leading the league in assists, second in the league in steals, and was a unanimous vote for first team All NBA defense because he's had a few poor games? For disciplinary reasons? Like what? Underperforming? "Hey Rondo, I know you're an all star this year but you really let us down for two straight games so we're gonna have you sit." Then he could sit back and learn a thing or two from our backup PG whose played in eight games this year, and this summer was nearly out of the league. Or maybe you think we should sit him so he can think about all the bad things he's done and focus on what he can do to make himself a better Rondo. You know, cuz this is the YMCA.

Sure. You know, the same way we sat Ray and Paul and KG when they weren't playing well last year. They needed to be punished to light a fire under them.

  Oh, wait....
