Playoffs bench:

pg: Arroyo
sg: West
sf: Green
pf: Davis
c:  Krstic

In uniform, end of bench:

Pavlovic, J. O'Neal

In street clothes:

Bradley, Wafer, Murphy

Interesting.

I see

PG West
SG Pavlovic
SF Green
PF Davis
C  JO

Reserves
Murphy,  Kristic

Clothes
Arroyo
Wafer
Bradley

I really can't argue against sasha in there, he has been solid and energetic off the bench.  but you really think that JO should be in over Nenad after what we have seen the past couple of weeks?

I value defense over offense.  Neither Shaq nor Krstic are strong against the pick and roll.  JO (when healthy) can be.

And JO can also hit jumpers.  He has enough offense as the backup C.

Gotcha, I can get behind that.  However I would say I would take a healthy Nenad over a 75% JO.  Where would you stand on this if JO isnt 100%

I'm surprised that you're placing Carlos in civvies.  Also, I don't think you'll see six bigs on the active playoff roster. One of JO or Murphy won't be in uniform.

I agree with the front court rotation.  But I think Arroyo and West will be the backcourt rotation, with Sasha being a 12th/13th man.  Arroyo gives them a lot more flexibility, and runs the offense as well or better than West.

I look at it more like this:

6/7: Davis and Green (they are both firmly in the rotation no matter what
8: West if he is healthy
9: JO if he is healthy, if not, then Krstic

10: Arroyo - He will be in the rotation early in the playoffs, but may be cut out later as the rotation is shortened.

11: Krstic

12/13: Murphy/Sasha depending on the matchups with the particular team, and whether they feel the depth is more necessary on the wing or up front.  May even change game to game.

14: Wafer - If there are injuries, he could be a valuable guy to bring in, but Doc would prefer to keep him buried

15: Bradley - God help us if he needs to dress

A lot depends on the O' Neals.  I think Nenad may be playing himself into the legitimate big rotation.  Shaq I can see starting over him but Jermaine might be in trouble if his doesn't come back hard he may be the odd man out.   Murphy showed some real flashes last game so he may get himself into the mix.  Davis is trusted and solid reserve and will be playing.  Green too will be playing.

Bradley and Wafer will sit.  I think Arroyo brings more to the table than Sasha but supposedly we got Sasha for his perimeter D.  Arroyo can't play that.  West will play ahead of all these guys but I think a West Arroyo would be the best for the team in the long run.  Both can handle and defend and shoot and put some pressure on other teams for a change of pace.  Add Green to the mix and you a nice fast break on the second team ready to go.

Here is my rotation:

Bigs:  Shaq, Krstic, JO
PF:  Garnett, BBD
Wings:  PP, Ray, Green
PG: Rondo, West

DNPs:  Arroyo, Murphy
Civies:  Bradley, Wafer, Sasha

I am putting ten in the rotation mostly because of injuries, short minutes, and the fact that each can be valuable in their own way.  Shaq is Shaq and if healthy, he should start.  Krstic is the most versatile offensively and decent and pick and roll but not great one on one.  JO, IF he can be healthy is our most versatile defender and a shot blocker and he can still hit a mid range shot.  Obviously health is a concern but if he can come back, he could still be our closer at C.

Given the age and health issues (past and present) of our big men, there is no doubt in my mind that Murphy will play in a playoff game.

Wafer will most likely lose all his minutes.  I think a lot depends on how Doc runs the 2nd unit.  Will West be spelling Rondo or Ray; or both?  If West is there to take some of Ray's minutes then Arroyo will still see some time.  The way Arroyo is playing right now, I can't see Doc sitting him.

I'm in the boat that Arroyo will play pg and west will play sg. SG is west's natural position... Pav is meant to play left bench on this team and he will return to do so... and thankfully, no more "I can't dribble" bradley.

West is set to return who is benched for the next couple of weeks? I use that timeline since Shaq, Wafer, and JO aren't expected back during that time.

You just named the three inactives. Bradley won't see any time either.

Arroyo, Murphy, Pavlovic, and West should all see minutes during these next few weeks. Rondo, Allen, and Pierce all need to see their minutes decrease.
