Rondo and Perk are more than friends? Rondo on drugs? lol I think I've heard it all now.

Yes, lets put all the blame on Rajon. Doesn't matter that Pierce shot 2-10 or Green 3-11.

(Note, I am not saying Rondo didn't have a bad game, he did. He couldn't throw a rock into the ocean.)

Rondo needs to be benched, period.

If he can't play his game for whatever reason, he has to be called out by Doc.

I blame Doc for this loss as well.

I couldn't agree more. Watching him take pull up j's when the game is on the line with Ray, Big Baby and PP on the floor is just...I don't even have the words.

Not sure why the blame falls on Rondo after each loss. Tonight:

Rondo 1-9 shooting
Pierce 2-10 shooting
Green 3-11 shooting
Krstic 2 rebounds
Ray -15 (team worst +/-)

Why don't we bench them all? ::)

Thib with a completely new team, not good as boston, is leading the East with a ridicolous shedule ahead. Chapeau Tom, you deserve it...

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Celtics shot the ball better, played better defense, hit the glass better, and moved the ball better.

Nets took almost 3x as many freethrows and hit 9 more threes.

Pretty frustrating loss, but none of that says 'lazy' or 'effort'. That kind of posting is lazy, imho.

the celtics effort on defense was poor. they continued to allow the nets to have wide open looks and they let them get multiple shots each time down.

And what evidence do you have for that? None? Okay. The Celtics outrebounded the Nets. The Nets shot below 40%. That doesn't happen in games with "no effort." Go away, troll. Didn't you say you were through with this game 45 minutes ago?
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

we shouldn't look too far into this lost... like the bucks yesterday,, this team just isn't good on back to backs. onto the next game.

That's no excuse. Our starters played less than half a game yesterday. They were well rested. Our team is looking tired just like they were at this point of the season last year. If you think they're going to go into Chicago and beat them on their home floor in a game 7, then you haven't watched any of our playoff series against them the past couple of years. Unlike our window, Chicago's is just about to open.
Never stop believing baby~

The 3 losses we've had over the last 2 weeks is going to cause us the 1st and possibly the 2nd seed.

This isn't the last season. We NEED the homecourt. Some of you are saying we don't need it to beat the Bulls or the Heat but come playoff time, you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.

The 3 losses we had agaisnt the Clips & Phils and tonight vs the Nets is just way too crucial to not win.
Going 3-0 would have been ideal obviously. 2-1 would have been acceptable. 1-2 would have been bad but 0-3 against these teams is not acceptable and will cause us the homecourt in the ECF which is way too valuable to give up.

Last season was last season. You will see what I mean by that come May n June.

I just hope the Bulls go through a rough stretch but I don't see that happening with Rose and the crew. They will lose occasionally to mediocre to great teams but not to the mother effing nets ESP when u go up by a dozen.

1. don't call me a troll...you haven't earned that right junior
2. i watched kris humphries beat boston to rebounds and get second shots all night
3. nets shooter wide open all night
4. if you think this was a good effort then you don't lnow much of anything

Sorry, I hate reading stupid pessimistic crap like that as well. My negative emotions getting the better of me today.

If the Lakers lose to Orlando today it pours a little cold water on the HCA pain.

the C's have another 2 sets of back-to-back games for this month (18/19, 27/28)... keeping my hopes up and expectations low.

you know better than me that's something beyond numbers.

You can have a bad shooting night, but still you do all the stuff you're supposed to do on the court.
Rondo is playing very far from his high standards in every aspect of his game, and he's been doing since 5 or 6 games so far; he seems another player, and it's not even a matter of effort to me.

But it's scary.
The Celtic in me.

Just a bad game. Orchestrated poorly by rondo.

Let's just hope they snap out of it.

From here on out, I don't really care about our record. I care about minutes.

HCA is irrelevant to me. Why? With our age, if we are going 7 games in any series we won't be winning it all anyways. Better to be fresh and the 3rd seed than to go all out for a HCA that would only matter in game 7s.

Bottom line: the Celtics did not look good. KG and Baby were the only good players on the floor at the end of the game. At this point, we should be playing people who are performing well. Instead we are finishing with the "starters." Well, that hasn't gotten us very far these last few games.

The Nets did not play very well either. That's what's frustrating about this loss. We are going to lose to teams that are only playing this well??

Sixers or Knicks
Heat
Bulls
Lakers

Thats what the Celtics playoff run looks like.

All 4 of those teams can beat the Celtics if they play their A games.
