I am thinking his rebounding in OKC was so bad because he was basically the only big guy banging down there . They were playing Jeff Green the majority of the mins at PF so that left Kristic all by himself.

With KG,BBD, and Shaq Kristic should be freed up to go grab rebounds. He is a much more mobile rebounder than Perk is that's why he is so good with the offensive rebounds.

The point I've been making since the trade went down is evaluate it based on how the players perform with their new teams, not their old. Comparing Perk's Boston numers with Green and Krstic's OKC numbers is a major league red herring, and is where the immediate arguments against the trade failed miserably.

Clearly, the Celtic system enhances Krstic's talents. Right now, I think he clearly starts over the O'Neal brothers when one or both of them return.

Not going to happen.

Shaq brings clear advantages for us. He can muscle everyone and anyone that covers him.

Krstic is building a case for being ahead of JO on the depth chart, but lets not get carried away here.

Shaq is a force on both ends and brings more then his statline suggests.

I can tell you one thing I know to be true.

NOBODY wants to face a motivated, healthy, and rested Shaq in the playoffs 15 wins away from his 5th ring. Nobody.

Krstic clearly needs to be our starter/opener. Dude goes off early in the game and early in quarters. Let him play the first 7-8 minutes let shaq close out the last 4-5 minutes.

Totally disgree. You don't bench the best C production, on both ends of the floor, the Celtics have had in the system since the Garnett and Allen trades.

Shaq is better, but he's brittle. He should not be playin more than 15 min a game until the playoffs imo. Let Krstic and his "healthy" knees start and get 11 points and 8 boards in the first 6 minutes of every game

I agree with this until the 2nd round of the playoffs, Shaq should start playing 20+ minutes a game and starting once that time comes.

Depends on how "healthy" shaq is. If we can win with Krstic starting and playing 30mpg then and shaq is effective in his 15-18 then why risk hurting him?

Dont you think Shaq would be more suited to be a closer, rather than get 15-18 minutes in the first half of a game?

Yea, I agree, if we get to the ECF and shaq is lookin good let him start.

I think the rule is when he gets ten rebs in the first half ....I have to shut the heck up  :-X

It takes a big man to call himself out.... TP.
Think I like it? Well I like how Krstic is playing of course. So I guess I like it. But all bets are off if Perk becomes an all-star in OKC

*Actual Quatrain Below*
 The unseen is discovered, hidden for such a long time,

   Perdu trouve, cache de si long siecle,

   He will, Pasteur, as a demi-God be honored;

   Sera, Pasteur, demi-Dieu honore;

   This is when the moon completes her great cycle (1880's),

   Ains que la lune acheve son grand siecle,

   But through other's slanders, he will be dishonored.

Shaq will start. If you haven't been listening to DA, one of the reasons KP was traded is b/c he thinks Shaq has earned the start and that it will be too hard for Shaq and his old knees to warm up only to cool down coming of the bench! If Danny didn't think Shaq would be able to come off before what makes you think he or Doc wants it now? NK will be able to come off and be fine seeing as his knees and age are good. Shaq is a rhythm player... when he warms up, you need to go with him... look at the time when Shaq gets the majority of his points, usually the first Q/half.

Oh, NK... what a STEAL! Guy has played with loads of energy in the 10 games he has played (and he hasn't been horrible on defense)! Great job NK!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)
