Yes he offers other things than perk.  And try as I will this is not to compare the two.  When the trade went down I felt it was Jeff Green (who is going to be really good) for perk.  I still don't know how danny got the #1 pick.
In his games with the celtics so far krstic is proving to be a very good rebounder.  Much much better than his numbers with okc.  Is it that they are mainly jump shooting and rebounds going farther out?  His rebounding since becoming a celtic is what it would take to lead the team for the season.  His all around game is much better than I thought.  Yes he doesn't offer the low post defense of perk but so far he looks like a better player in every other aspect of the game (maybe not the shot blocking)
If the trade is rethought to krstic even up for perk than its nate robinson for jeff green and a #1 pick. ;D

Krstic is averaging 14 and 8 as a Celtic.....

Wow. For a "throw-in" he sure is better then we all thought.

I dont know what Perkins numbers were this year but so far Krstic is impressing me, he keeps getting better and better every game.

Can we use Krstic at the PF spot during stretches?

He keeps rebounding this way and I'm gonna start calling him Krvin Love.  Great stretch by the big guy.

Still gotta see how he does against the good teams, but so far he's blending in wonderfully.

Nenad has worked pretty well with the Big 4. Once Shaq comes back, I wonder how he would look with the second unit. A second unit of Krstic,Baby,Green,West, and Arroyo would be great. And yet we have Murphy,Wafer,Pavlovic,Bradley and JO at the end of the bench. Hopefully this team is back in full strength come playoff time.

I am thinking his rebounding in OKC was so bad because he was basically the only big guy banging down there . They were playing Jeff Green the majority of the mins at PF so that left Kristic all by himself.

With KG,BBD, and Shaq Kristic should be freed up to go grab rebounds. He is a much more mobile rebounder than Perk is that's why he is so good with the offensive rebounds.

Grande actually raised the question tonight of whether krstic should start after Shaq returns.

he's a career starter, not a throw-in. people need to stop saying that about him.

besides, roy said he is overrated, so he must be :P
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

This is beyond very encouraging. In fact, he is on close to the pace he was on back in 06-07 before the injury shelved his progression from rookie season to that year. That year for 26 games he was at 6.8 rebounds/game with over 16pts per game in 32 minutes.

It has only been 7 games and 28 minutes per, but this is far more results then most of us thought was possible. Right now he is giving us what we had hoped from JO plus a little more.

Maybe one day in the future, we will look back at this trade with the same kind of WOW factor that we get when we remember Red's amazing Parish trade that also netted us McHale 30 years ago.One can dream Green, cant I? We still get a first round pick too in addition to that "throw in" Jeff Green!
