You cant win with Jermaine,Shaq,Baby, out and Perkins traded. The interior defense is just soft. The worst thing is KG is working way way to hard. He is pushing a injury.

Jermaine should step up now and give whatever he has this season. This is getting ridiculous.

No no John, haven't you noticed Krstic can score so efficiently. He is so much better than the guy who was here before, the one with the ring. You are gonna have to get use to the new offensive power instead of the defensive presence the other center always brought here. We just have to be better trading baskets with are opponents now.  We score, they get a open dunk, we just got to score again til they miss. Until this team get back Shaq and Jermaine, expect great offensive numbers by Krstic, open dunks by opponents, and blame to each of other 4 players. Ray's turn tonight. Defense turns to offense was the old model with Perk. Join C's fans who love the new and improved offensive model.

We've won many games without these players in the line up.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
You cannot win a ring with the O'Neals out and Krstic being the only true guy who can play center in game shape.

You cannot win many regular season games against playoff caliber teams with the O'Neals and Glen Davis out, and KG and Krstic being the only guys capable of playing meaningful productive minutes in the 4/5.

You cannot win many games against NBA caliber teams with the best of our bench and a starting center (the O'Neals, Glen Davis, Delonte West, and gag...Von Wafer) out and a depleted core of guys who have little to no experience playing together.

But...hopefully this will all change..and hopefully we'll win a lot of games. Especially the ones that aren't in the regular season. I'm still in a holding pattern.

like that is always lethal." - Evan 'The God' Turner

I have lowered my expectations for the time being, until this team gets healthy. Right now, there is no cohesion on the defensive end, but surprisingly, a lot of it is coming from the perimeter play. Guys are getting wide open looks on the 3 point line because the guards are breaking down the defense and kicking out. If they could stop guard penetration, the defense as a whole would be better. Rondo and Ray are playing awful defense right now, and all of the new guys seem to be clueless about their rotations.

Hopefully Doc can pull a rabbit out of the hat. There is not much time to get these guys to buy into the defensive system, but they need to because there is no choice.

The new guys you see on the court wont be playing during the playoffs, they will be glued to the bench.

West
Wafer
Green
Baby
JO

That is our bench lineup and all of them besides Green are familiar with the system.

Arroyo
Murphy
Krstic
Pavlovic

None of those guys are seeing the court during the playoffs unless someone gets injured.

Doc already mentioned when playoffs come hes rolling 9 guys.

Who cares how the new guys get used to the system they will not be playing once the playoffs hit.

Your point is?

Danny didn't make the trade to win 2 regular season games.  Your post suggest that you are angry about either the trade or the fact that we're injured right now.  Either way... calm down, we're going to lose a few games while we adjust to the trade and get our guys back.

Danny apologists will just keep running the same Baby droppings we've heard before for Krstic. He's healthy, he's got a jumper, and can score, pick any of the other 4 to blame for the loss (Paul's next). Danny has the nerve to suggest the players aren't giving enough effort on defense, wow. As if this team was never #1 in defense all season. How'd I fix the problem? Well if somehow even with Krstic scoring gets us down near double figures, maybe starting Green can get C's playing better defensively. I just don't know, but I don't watch my seasoned starters struggle to accommodate a player not even fit to start in Oklahoma City. Blame the perimeter defense when in two loses we seen a plethora of open dunks. I'm sure KG has never expressed issues with European bigs defense, right Danny? It's been written there were several times "where KG looked like he wanted to junk-jab Krstic."

I totally agree with you here.

That way I see it, Krystic is better than Erden, and only better offensively than Perkins. I believe Krystic and the others are only good for regular season games and not the playoffs and especially not the EC finals nor the 2011 Finals.

We cannot win the banner without Perkins, Shaq and JO. We are certainly doomed if the Oneals never came back to play!

They could still win a title without the O'Neals but they wouldn't be the clear frontrunner anymore.

we also could lose in the first round.

we make our bones on defense and we need those guys back to get the defense back to where it needs to be...

we also need the extra fouls...

16 points and 15 boards from Krstic and he holds his man to 14 and it's Krstic fault.  Unbelievable yet typical unfounded reaction.  We still have a higher winning percentage with Nenad in the lineup than we had with Perk. ( though at with this two game slide the margin isn't as great as it once was but I seriously didn't think that it hover around . 80% win percentage either)   I think several on the board could sense we were due some loses as their was a post about this very thing.  Karmic backlash from all the making fun of the HEAT, lol.  I seriously doubt we'd won a game with Perk's diminish this year either.  His stats were down folks.

It was a close game if I had to pick a difference I would say letting a team shoot .38% from trey land which is always the Center's fault.  The 11 TO's to their six hurt us, again Krstic contributed heavily to this with his 1 TO.  I think it was Krstic fault too all teh starters but PP shot under .50% I mean its obvious wasn't it.

I do agree that we won't beat certain teams without a beefy big.  Orlando and LA come to mind.

Well, on NBATV Rick Kamla was interviewing Russell Westbrooke and he stated that Perk is near a return. I wish him the best - just not against Boston.

I'm still VERY interested to see how he plays without KG......

But anyway - like some of us have mentioned - we just need more players, especially Glen, Shaq and Delonte.

Just Glen alone could've helped big time just the last two games.

At least Murph hit a bucket.

As far as the O'Neals we won't get JO back until at least Apr, but Shaq should be back next week? Shaq won't let us down...he missed some games for CLE last year, and then ended up playing all of CLE's playoff games.

We've just hit a rough stretch of injuries. I must say that the most shocking one was to Glen...with the exception of his altercation he has been an iron man for last couple of years.

Doc is just being careful with the time allowed for our injured players, and that is one of many reasons why I trust him. Yes, the losses are painful, but in our opponents' minds no one will want to play Boston in Apr, May or June.

Until then? The team just has to endure, and they'll do just that. We get another shot tomorrow vs Milwaukee.
