What kind of screens do Krstic set?

Do not take this as a shot against him.



Setting screens by big men seems to be a vital part of the offense.  Players like KG, Perk and Shaq all set pretty good screens with in the offense.



How well does Krstic set screens?  (I really do not know)


And if he sets good screens, does he have timing for this offense down yet to set them?

I've mentioned this a couple of times, but he's been setting some awkwardly awesome screens. I don't know how he hasn't been called for an illegal screen.

Yeah, I've noticed this at times, too.  He looks a bit like an offensive lineman trying to contain a defensive tackle at times.

His effort level is definitely there.  He's nowhere near as good as the other bigs in that area, but you've got to think that he'll improve.

Its tough to say.  I haven't watched it closely.  Although, he has tremendous footwork, and very strong fundamentals, so I would imagine he knows how to set a good screen.

Exactly, but so far so good in that regard. He's gotten us quite a few open shots that way, particularly for Ray and Rondo. He kinda disguises it as if he was looking to position himself for a post-up or something.

He's been pretty good. LKike eveyone said he looks crafty with them.

He can definitely learn from the other bigs on the team.

Was KG always as good of a screener as he is now? There are just so many parts the game that he does at an elite level that go completely unnoticed by most non Celtics fans.

agree, haven't seen too many (if any?) moving screens called on him like perk used to do with the leg extension
