Quote
Kevin Love, who will be a restricted free agent in 2012, says he heard some recruiting pitches from players during All-Star Weekend.

Love could forgo free agency if he signs a contract extension with Minnesota.

"A lot of it was (about) OKC," said Love, referring to West teammates Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

"A lot of it was a few other teams that just need that one more guy. And a lot of it was circulating around the Lakers, 'cause we were out there as well. There was a lot of pressure and a lot of questions were circulating, and I almost felt like, '[dang], I have to take a step back and, not assess the situation, but kind of look at things from a broad horizon.'

"As far as right now, I love the city of Minneapolis. I like Minnesota as a state. I love the people here. Our team is very young. We have a lot of stuff going for us when you look past the win column. I think I just have to look at that come contract time."

It makes a lot of sense , They will likely have enough to offer a max contract to him in 2012. If not they could always put together a package of

OKC Sends: Harden, Ibaka, picks(if needed)

Min sends: Love

OK Lineup

PG: Westbrook
SG: Vet FA
SF: Durant
PF: Love
 C: Perk

Love and Perk would be very good together .

I don't think Minnesota will move Kevin Love, not after the season he's had.

I'm not sure what sort of player should be used along side Love. A quicker player to help cover for him might be the way to go, but a stronger player to handle post threats is also a worry....

He'd be a nice third option there offensively and could focus on rebounding. Perkins would cover some of his defensive deficiencies.

Perk needs a power forward with good quickness + is a solid team defender alongside him.

OKC's big man combination will be too vulnerable defensively if Perk is coupled with a slow footed PF who is a major liability defensively like Kevin Love.

That's okay, cause KG and the boys were tonguing Dwight Howard's ear at the very same All-Star game.

The artical says this happened at the All-star game. That was before they traded and resigned Perkins. I'd be shocked if they still were after Love now.

I think Durant/Love combo might be the worst defensive combo in the league.  Bring on Howard.

It'd have to beat out Beasley/Love first, a tall order.

Didn't Love already get his max contract from Minnesota?

Nope, there was a report that the Wolves are going to offer him a max deal, or something close to it after the new CBA.

But no contract offer currently that I'm aware of, which is the smart course. No reason to extend him until the new CBA is settled.

We've seem what happens when players put together teams like MIA.   I don't think he would want to go there and be second fiddle to Durant and a Shooting PG like Westbrook.

Perk wouldn't average more than 3 rebounds a game if this happened..

I've never seen a player have such a small effect on the game while posting such incredible stat lines.
