Amazing?  Easy now.  I don;t this his plaque is quite ready for Springfield yet.  Krstic has looked better then Green so far IMO.
and I love krstic dont get me wrong, and I think he's good, but our players are making him look really good.
Offensively, Krstic has looked better than any player who has played with the other 4 starters since 2007.

I don't see how they are making him look good on his post moves. He is very good at working guys to get a shot off from within 5 feet. He does a great job at leaning into guys and then releasing the ball out of their reach. He can also catch and shoot quickly and accurately underneath.

As far as his open jumpers go, we can also say that playing with who he plays with makes KG look better on his jumpers since they get him open more often. It seems more sensible to me to notice instead that Krstic is best outside shooting center we have had since KG came to town, since those other centers also played with the same 4 guys.

there's no reason he shouldn't be able to average 15 pts off the bench playing his natural position and finally having a pass first point guard

It was a great, great trade Danny made -- he never would have given Perk up if it hadn't been such a fantastic deal for us.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I think I may have understated how much I actually like Krstic.

He's got great post moves, his defense is ok. He's confident, super confident. He seems to have gelled with our guys right away. He has good hands, he caught that no-look from pierce really well and finished quick. I just think if he was on a bad team he wouldn't shine as much. Not due to any lack of skill or effort I just think a lot of his confidence seems to come from knowing how good the guys around him are. Let's not forget he came from OKC playing with a couple of young, extremely talented guys that hold onto the ball alot.

I think Krstic is awesome. If we could trade him back to okc for perk straight up now i'd pass. We just need to demote bradley and sign some kinda big bulky dude if there even is one available.
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

I think he's fitting in quite nicely. I like that he has a good post game, and that he likes going into the post. Boston needs that -- more post plays means more foul shots, more foul trouble for the opponent, and more open looks for outside shooters such as Ray and Paul. And his athleticism is fantastic, adds a great dimension to this team.

As a side note: I'm eager for Shaq's return, but I'm glad that his absence (and that of others) is allowing the new guys to learn more quickly.

Demoting Bradley doesn't give the C's a roster opening--they'd have to cut him outright for that.

Its amzing what a big guy can do down low when he has hands and some range on his shot huh Perk?

The guy is better offensively than Perk, but enough with the Perk bashing. Perk proved to be a championship-level starting center.

And besides, there are few centers in the league with range on their shot, especially non-European one's.

But people underestimated how much Krstic could help this team when Perk was traded. Give him another month to learn the defense and get help from KG, Doc, and Frank, and he should be a legit option if we need to call his number in the playoffs.

I am responding in the context of the line of my that you bolded. Shaq's performances have been erratic. He has been completely ineffective in many games. I will concede though that Krstic hasn't been around long enough to draw conclusions and I also missed his first two games on the Celtics. I'm sure games will come where he will seem ineffective on offense like Shaq has at times.

As far as the offense goes, it depends who we are playing against. With Shaq and KG, we have great lob possibilities, while with Krstic we can get unparalleled ball movement. Shaq sets much better picks, so that can have a big impact. Krstic doesn't turn the ball over, which is nice.

Krstic has impressed me with his ability to draw fouls. He is drawing just over 5 per game on some nice pump fakes inside. He is shooting 78% from the line, which makes those valuable.

Nah, you can't cut Bradley at this point for anybody who would be available.  Aside from Rondo and Green if he sticks around, he's the only player on the roster who could be an asset in the future.  It's not worth giving up that opportunity to upgrade the 15th man on the roster - keep in mind that he wouldn't even be playing if we had 12 healthy bodies.

Tangent aside, I agree with your overall point - Green is a great fit for this team and gives us a dimension that we don't otherwise have.  As he acclimates himself to our system and our players, he'll be important for us.

The guy is better offensively than Perk, but enough with the Perk bashing. Perk proved to be a championship-level starting center.

Nobody's bashing Perk.  Given Perk's current state of health, the honest truth is that three months of Krstic is likely to be more valuable than three months of Perk.  I don't think anybody actually thinks Krstic is a better player than Perkins when both are healthy, but Krstic is and Perk is not.  That sucks, but it's true.

Also, there are more centers with range in this league than you think.  If you go through the good centers in the league, slightly more than half will take and hit a midrange jumper when given the opportunity.  There are few who have three-point range, but the midrange shot is actually not all that rare among centers nowadays.

Love BB but this guy has lots of upside to develop yet where BB is at his peak. Hail Danny.

Look at how many minutes Doc played Perk in the finals against the Lakers, and I bet Krstic averages within 5 minutes of that through the playoffs this year.  If Shaq is healthy, that's coming off the bench, otherwise it's as a starter.

I also see Green back next year playing more than 30 minutes a  game off the bench, but backing up three positions and in as a closer as well.

Baby's minutes in the post-season may be the most up in the air--depending upon how well Murphy adjusts and the whether the O'Neals are healthy.

Jeff Green needs to take advantage of these looks because when Baby gets back don't know if Jeff will get these same touches. Hopefully, Arroyo can change that, but I'm sure Baby will get his usual rolling isolations. Both Jeff and Krstic are offensive forces so far, but they need to hit the boards. Our defense means nothing if they can't rebound. Krstic only grabs offensive rebounds and last night being outrebounded by 6'7" John Brockman starting opposite him wasn't cool.

Just posted in another thread that we only had 3 offensive rebounds as a team last night, two of them by Krstic ... that's just horrendous!
