This report says he sat out practice today with an ankle injury...Ray Allen had to sit out practice as well today. Ill post updates here if I find any more.

Anyone have updates on his MRI?

Update: "Baby out for about a week (or as he said, '3 or 5 or 7 days') but MRI shows no further damage; Ray gets maintenance day"

- ESPN Boston.

Looks like Ray Allen just gets the day off.

Phew. We bit the bullet here guys. Thank god.

The link you posted didn't have anything to do with Ray, but it did say:

I can't find anything that says Ray Allen missed practice with an injury.

Good news for Baby, I was worried and that's a relief. Delonte will miss Friday and Sunday games though, I hope he doesn't get injured again once he comes back because he is still like a newcomer on this team since he has played about 8 games this year.

One thing you have to respect of West, he always gets injured but he always gets back up and plays well. Not one of those players who gets injured and doesn't seem able to get back into rhythm.

True but if you always get injured when you come back, no matter how well you play, it's a moot point.

This reminds me of something else interesting Doc said this morning.  He said that he is going to be backing off on practices for the starters, but will be having the new guys and second team practicing every day, and often longer sessions.

I am guessing this rest day for Ray is part of this.

That seems to have always been the formula that worked, good call by Doc.

Kind of funny how with the Celtics it goes from Doc saying the other day if it was the playoff that West would play, to him now missing at least 4 games. And they talk about Belichek.

Yes, I'd say our starters already know how to play very well together. Let 'em rest.

I don't think that's really far-fetched. Rondo's had multiple ankle sprains in the playoffs but never missed a game.
