IT looks as though we wont get a hold of Corey Brewer.

Hoopshype.com and Marc Stein are reporting he is headed to Dallas.

Yeah, this was my hunch from the beginning. Besides the financial aspect, he'll be a good fit in their team, lots of shooters and cutting lines.

Multi-year deal, good money, playoff team. Can't blame him.

Although Caron Butler seems to think he'll be back this season. So perhaps not so many minutes for Corey.

At least he did not sign with an Eastern Conference Team. Anything that makes it tougher out West for you know who is good for us in the end. Would have still liked to add him to our team though.

From that link..I found interesting the Eddy Curry quote that he is most likely signing with Heat- That could be one of those subtraction from addition signings. He is perfect for that team as an added head case.

Heat would have to release someone. Likely Magloire.

Is Curry > Magloire at this point?

Sorry if it's been answered, but are players waived due to buyouts eligible for playoffs?  I'm not talking about bought out players (those before March deadline, but those who, going forward, will lose their jobs due to their teams adding a bought out player....  ?

Or is it the same thing just post deadline.  Players waived due to buy-outs are also bought out, but too late for playoff eligibility?  That sounds good.  Think I answered my own question.

Not surprised.  Not only can they offer him more money, it's a better situation for him.  While I would've loved the depth he provided, when was he realistically going to see the floor?  Ray and Paul are going to play 35 mpg.  Jeff Green needs minutes and that essentially kills those backup minutes.

It was a nice dream, but I don't think we were ever really seriously an option.
