Thornton was waived by Washington.  It is presumed he is going to sign with Golden State, but I think perhaps the C's should gauge interest.  I know he won't help much this year, but he is still very young and has shown some promise in his brief career.  If we get him here, we can evaluate and maybe sign him in the off season as a backup going forward (especially if Green wants a monster contract).  With it looking like Brewer is going to sign elsewhere, there are roster spots available for Boston.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

He isnt that young he is like 28 now I think.  I think at this point he is what he is, a volume scorer on bad teams who doesnt defend.  But is a heck of an athlete

He is redundant with Green but I like Thornton.

Also, he has shown flashes that he can defend. He certainly has the body but has never been on a team commited to it.

I remember a story of him last year shutting down Carmelo.

He is 27, but only 3 years in the NBA, so I meant young in the experience sense.
