Looks like TA was smart to go to Memphis. He has been thriving since punching Mayo.

And Memphis has been thriving since TA started getting more minutes.

Meanwhile, the Cs just traded their 26 year old starting center for a guy in Jeff Green whose per 36 minute numbers are eerily similar to TA's, only Jeff Green doesn't provide shutdown defense at 3 positions, and it'll take a lot more than 3.3 million per year to retain him.

Miscalculating TA and allowing him to go to Memphis is the biggest blunder in Danny's tenure, and the Perk trade was a direct result of that blunder.

TA can't play the 4 and TA definitely doesn't have a 3 point shot...

It's not right to compare Jeff Green to Tony Allen.

The fact that some people in this thread are comparing Jeff Green to TA is insulting.

Comparing TA to Green is like comparing Rondo to Jameer Nelson.

Nelson shoots the ball better but does nothing else remotely close to as good as Rondo.

Green is better than TA at everything except defense, and if he works hard, with his length can be better then TA at that also.

Green and Allen couldn't be more different as players, no reason to compare them, especially given the size difference....

Green:  smooth, high iq, low mistakes, effortless, appears low energy (of course not really) etc.....
Allen:   unsmooth, mistake-prone, unpredictable, spectacular, off the charts energy.....

Obviously Green is considered better, but when Tony's on, as he has been lately, or for example in the game against Ok. City nine games back, there are few players better in the entire league.....  It's like Doc said during one of Tony's hot stretches (I think during the 5 games before his big injury, second one)  "he's going to take over the league"......something to that effect.

I'm a huge fan of both of them, I love intensity and I love IQ.  I think we'll see both from Green once he's comfortable....

not trying to knock Green's effort/intensity....it's hard for that breed of athlete that does thing effortlessy to appear intense (Federer:  effortless and less intense Nadal  effort-full and intense)  different kinds of intensity, etc...

Both amazing.
