It would be fitting since I hate both.

I'm not a huge Bibby fan, but be careful what you wish for.  They have had younger PGs all seasn that can't tell LeBron and Wade "no", and can't settle down that offense.  Bibby is a veteran that those guy MIGHT listen to and MIGHT be able to harness that offense into a legit threat.  He also shoots 38% career from the 3pt line, so can sit in the corner when it's iso time, which fits well with that team.  I don't think he's at the stage in his career to be a huge threat, and he plays very little D, but it still could help to settle that team down and give them a little confidence.  Still hate both though.

How does a pg settle down the offense without the ball?

He can have the ball. Bibby isn't able to set up an offense or create shots any more even if he has the ball - that's why his role in Atlanta has progressively diminished. He's a spot up shooter with awful defense that will fire some passes to cutters from the top of the key. He's 2 or 3 tiers below Mario Chalmers.

Bibby is a CHUCKER! Not a good distributor, no D at all, so-so handle.

He will make Miami worse. Subtraction by addition. There aren't enough basketballs NOW for that team, wait till he gets there.

Please cut Arroyo. We need a backup to Delonte.

Also, they already have his cousin there who provides the same one dimensional game. Stupid move by Heat.

I think you guys are underestimating what this guy is willing to do. He wont need the ball and he can shoot the 3 very well. If he gave up 6m (that is a lot considering he isn't a spring-chicken) there is no way he wont be going all out for them... Bibby is a good player and he's ready to do whatever. This thread is sending out bad vibes!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I agree fully. Most of the time you see Joe Johnson working with the ball or Crawford. Bibby is like Jason Kidd 0.1 (the .1 being the three point shot)

i heard the Heat are cutting Arroyo to make space for Bibby. it'd be very interesting indeed if Arroyo signed with us as insurance incase Delonte goes down in the playoffs.

Bibby was really good about 8 years ago. Those times are over and Rondo will have field days.

 ;D
picture mike bibby trying to stay with rondo
rondo forces help defense and draws defenders hitting the open man or draws fouls
or wait dwade gets the assignment of rondo, ray allen's eyes light up as he has bibby on him
his negatives outweigh his positives
riley has handcuffed himself this year and maybe next, solid vets signing for min deals is the only way he can fill out that roster to be any better
bibby is a backup or 3rd string guard on a contender

i believe they already cut arroyo and i'd welcome him as 3rd string pg
