Just wondering if players now dislike KG and won't come here because of it. ???

I remember Corey Brewer being very excited to play with KG when he was drafted.  I wonder if his opinion has changed.

i think kg is one of those guys a lot of people dislike when ur on an opposing team, but if given the opportunity to play with him, would love to.

he is a throwback.....you hate him as an opponent and love him as a teammate.

Agreed.  I think there are a ton of guys in the NBA who respect KG's intensity on the court, and I think he'd be more of a plus than a minus for most players.

Joel Pryzbilla or Jose Calderon, maybe they'd prefer a different teammate.  Most players, though, would admire the intensity, I think.

My initial reaction was NO.

However when I think more about it you might be right.

KG is definitely a throwback. That is why veterans who have been in the league would LOVE to play with KG regardless of past wars.

However when you are competing with team like Miami who are built with this new generation of players, it would make sense that young guys would gravitate to that situation.

Troy Murphy has been in the league for a while now so maybe he would like playing with KG.

Brewer on the other hand I would think might gravitate to Miami (who probably doesnt need him) or Chicago where his best friend Noah is playing.

I know Chicago with Ronnie Brewer would become a little redundant with Brewer, but you haev to think that Thibs and Noah would LOVE to have this guy on their team. They dont get that scoring 2 guard like Rip Hamilton but they get a siginifant ungrade over Keith Bogans who somehow is the starter for that team.

New Reputation?

KG has always had the same reputation.

Not really.  People are now coming out of the woodwork saying they dislike him.  I don't believe that happened as much or at all in years past.

Why would you want to play against a guy you hate playing against?

Seriously, you want guys like KG on your team.  If you hate playing against a guy then you want them on your team most of the time as they make things harder.  Have you guys ever played basketball in a pickup game?

Well I hope the free agents think like you think.

KG's got a Bird-like quality: He makes people around him better. What's not to like about that? I'm sure his rep around the league is fine.

KG has been making players cry since he entered the league. Nothing new here.

For a young player to have someone like KG teaching him, it is a gift.

Personally, I'd be afraid to even say hi to him. But I'm not in the nba.

Well, maybe some players would say no, but that wouldn't be anyone, that we would actually want to play for the Celtics.

First of all, I don't believe anyone should choose their team based on one player's reputation. If the Celtics was interested in my talents, I would be very flattered. If I was hesitant because of KG. I would talk to someone who had actually played with KG, before I made any judgement.

Some players genuinely don't like KG (probably because he got under their skin), and some of them would say no because of that. But that would not be based on reputation.

I don't think that KG really has a new reputation. Did Noah discover that KG talks trash after reading CV's tweet? I'm guessing he already knew about the situation.

KG has been this same player for 14 years. I dont understand why hes getting so much attention for it now.
