They can't beat any elite team in this league their fans don't show up till half time and the whole world hates them.

Well the weather likely isn't a top priority considering he chose to play college ball at Notre Dame.....I think Murphy is going to see that Bosh is a starter, who does pretty much everything he does more effectively. Doubt he wants to play center alongside of Bosh who will be getting way more of the calls on the perimeter shooting plays Murphy would get most everywhere else.
Coming to Boston he gets one of the best pass-first PG's in the game, and two premiere perimeter threats on offense in Ray and PP to create way more space for him then he is used to coming from Indiana (completely disregarding Jersey). Murphy easily steals at least 5-10 min of Big-babys time because of his length and proven rebounding ability alone, and if our Center situation doesn't get healthy, he will get minutes there alongside one of the best help-defending PF's in the league in KG.
Miami is not built for 7 game series with most teams at the top of the NBA; if a ring is what he wants he should be well aware of their record with the playoff contenders, and head north. My only worry is if Brewer signs with Miami before Murphy, and he notices another fellow above-average journeyman make a decision that suggests he should follow suit.

if you can call being on the court with miami's big 3 playing time that is :P
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

Big salary offer, gorgeous weather, two of the best players in the game as team-mates, extended minutes ... personally I hate the Heat, but I can certainly see many reasons why a player would go there. Frankly, I think people are over-rating this guy big-time ... I don't think he's the big catch everyone says he is.

Miami can't offer more than the Celtics can offer money wise.

I didn't say they could ... the question was: "Why would (he) choose Miami?", and that would be one of many considerations, just as he would have considerations, (including that one), for coming here.

Let's say there is still something like the MLE in the next CBA.  Which team, Boston or Miami, is more likely to offer Murphy a contract not necessarily full MLE but well above the minimum for next season if Murphy plays well?  Arguably, it is in Murphy's best personal interests to go to that team.

Why should weather matter when it comes at a time when the weather will be good anywhere.

Yes.  He could challenge for a starting spot there.

Here?  If Shaq and JO are healthy, you could make an argument that he wouldn't even make our active roster in the playoffs.

I know this is wishful thinking but comon, a white shooting bigman?  Doesnt he know Danny wants him more than anybody else possibly could?

Actually, the salaries would be the same, but w/o a state income tax Murphy would make a bit more playing for the HEAT.  In addition, he'd get major minutes & exposure which could lead to a more lucrative deal down the road.

Personally I hate the idea of him being on the HEAT, and really hope he chooses the Celtics.
