Maybe he misses Donkey....hopefully he's not trying to replace the chucking that Nate was noted for... ;)

Don't speak for us all, ej. I haven't thought Baby's been bad the last few months; in fact this has been his breakout season. Granted he's had 2 bad games in a row, but you don't send him out to slaughter for that.

I do think he needs to go back and start practicing his jump shots. Practice, practice, practice. I feel confident he'll pull out of this slump and am very grateful to have him on our team.

a lot of people get on him about rebounding, but i don't think he can be a good rebounder so i'll live with it because he's our player. That said, it's his shot selection which actually bothers me the most.

i'm fine with him missing shots, like open jumpers from 15-18ft or missing free throws, because that's in his range and because guys go through slumps. But forcing the issue - like posting up and taking off balanced shots, or shooting outside his range (around 20-22ft) or rumbling in to the paint only to get swallowed up by multiple defenders who all know that he wont pass it - is something i'm not fine with. and pretty much goes against the team concept.

You're not slumping if you're choosing to take bad shots. You just have bad shot selection.

I noticed last night that he was often sent those shots at the last second and was forced to take the jumper...for the team.
Out of his range.

Assuming he's trying to be a hero is just silly because he's proven to be a team player...again and again and again.

I say give him a chance to get out of the slump before you send him walking.

He has to feel a little threatened by Green's addition and may have something to prove.  Additionally, he must feel they selected him over Perk.  He often played in crunch even when Perk was here.  It might be a case who him trying to prove who is the man.

He is what he is.... a tweener.  SF's height in a PFs body.

I think BBD will be traded down the road for an asset when he contract demands are too high when his current contract is up.  He knows Danny will pull trigger on him if he pulled it on Perk though and that may help us in bargaining.

Ahh, what would a Celtics team be without a scapegoat, huh?

2 bad games...I´m shaking my head.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

All families need a scapegoat. Group dynamics.

He's had 3 very bad games in a row. But my issue is not with his production/shooting, it's with his ball movement and ball hogging, and that's been going on for 2 years now.

Davis is falling in love with the jumper and is becoming a black hole.

Doc will set him straight.

I hope so, but I've been waiting since last season for it to happen, and it has yet to occur.

Davis's usage is 5th on the team, he's not exactly the next Stephon Marbury when it comes to chucking.

He's taking about as many shots per minute as Shaq, with similar assist numbers too.

More ball movement would be nice, his post game seems to have fallen off the past month too.

He's a little out of sync right now. Hoe doesnt know whether to post up, which teams are giving him, or to look for his jump shot, which teams are trying to take away now.

Im hoping with Jeff Green, more of the offense can be run through him, and BBD can look for his sweet spots again.

If the offense is running through Big Baby, the ball will stick too much.

He's taking about as many shots per minute as Shaq, with similar assist numbers too.

Shaq converts 66% of his shots. And he's actually one of the main options when he's on the floor.

Secondly, Shaq doesn't force the action, Baby does. I have no problem with Davis taking as many shots as he is, but I have a problem that as soon as he touches the ball, the ball stops moving and he gets double and triple teamed and he doesn't know what to do with it but keep on going and hope for the best.

My favorite Big Baby time was in the 2nd half of his sophomore year. He took the shots, but they were within the scheme of our offensive system. Not like now. He was taking 10-12 shots a night back then, and I had no problem with it.

Anyways, what does 5th usage rate in our team even mean? Isn't that by default pretty much? So, it not of much relevance to me. How much usage is he unnecessarily taking away from Pierce, Ray, Garnett though? That's what is important.

Comcast made him a scapegoat on two late fouls in the game where they weren't called on him, but made it seem like they were.

Not a good game for him though.

Yea last night he looked awful. His lack of height seemed to hurt him bad last night. Other than last night he's played pretty well. Teams are leaving him wide open for that foul line jumper. He's gotta take it if he's wide open. I'm sure Docs telling him to take it.

Kristic looked decent last night. Love his simple post moves. It's about time I've seen one of our big men use a drop step. Perk woulda bricked everyone of those open shots.
