Having attended a number of T-Wolves games Brewer is an excellent  defender and solid rebounder.

"He's a "Celtics fan in Seattle" and "Apple fanboy" retweeting some guy I've never heard about but that also seems dubious as a reliable source of NBA news."

I understand that he isn't a reliable source, I am just anxious to see where he ends up though.

Would be a great thing if we added brewer. Would go from a team that was very deep in the beginning of the season to very very very deep.

Corey Brewer's kind of like a bigger Tony Allen, isn't he?  Really athletic and he can play very good-to-great defense at the 2 and 3 spots, but you don't really want him trying to do too much on offense.

EDIT: And why didn't NY want anything to do with him?  Athletic player that can get up and down the court, seems like he could do well in a backup role behind Carmelo, even if he can't shoot a lick.

At first, I was opposed to Brewer coming in. However I now have changed my mind, hes a good athletic young wing who can only get better. Minnesota had no real system until very recently, he has the capacity to become an excellent defender in this league. I'm trying to figure out why the Knicks cut him over Mason Jr.

That one tweet didn't sound like he liked the HEAT though.   I think he is a poor fit for them.  NYC doesn't care about D that much being a Antoni team.  Yes, I forgot the D because his teams do too.

Can he defend 2s? A second unit of West, Brewer, Green, Murphy/BBD and JO/Krstic would be terrific.

I still don't understand why NY bought out both Brewer and Azubuike instead of, say, Roger Mason.  I guess they want his "vet leadership" for their playoff run...

OMG.  16 pages of posts on Corey freaking Brewer!?!

Have you people looked at this guy's shooting percentages?  They were god-awful as a rookie and haven't improved (AT ALL) since then.  The guy might be able to defend but at BEST if he even signs with the Cs he is the 14th player on the roster.

Brewer = nonfactor

TA had a pretty big impact on kobe last year in the finals

We don't need his offense. His defense is terrific however, and he'd be a great defensive stopper, like TA but with higher basketball IQ and size

We wouldn't be signing him for his offense - if anything, his offense would be a nice bonus. But the kid can defend the 2 and 3 spots VERY well.

If his defense was so good then why did two teams with worse records than the Celtics give him up over the course of one week for basically nothing?
