SAS still thinks Rasheed is coming back...

Stephen A. Smith has a story, and he's sticking too it:

Smith made news recently by speculating that Rasheed Wallace would end his retirement and return to the Celtics. Smith explained that Wallace indicated last June — when the player talked about his retirement — that he would consider returning after the trade deadline this season.

“He was alluding [in June] to coming back once the trading deadline expired if the Celtics needed him, that he would think about it,” Smith said. “And throughout this year, he had been saying one day, he wants to come back, the other day, he doesn’t want to come back. … He was going back and forth throughout the year. One day he wants to come back, another day he doesn’t want to come back. One minute he’s thinking about going to Orlando, the next minute he misses all the boys he was with in Boston last year.

“So, I simply said I think he’s going to end up coming back to Boston, because I believe that Boston is going to be the team that fights the Lakers for the world championship, and I believe that Doc Rivers is the ultimate motivator. And I think if you have an opportunity to play for Doc Rivers for a couple of months, that’s not something that you’re going to turn down. I still believe that. I still believe that Rasheed Wallace is going to come back.”

Sheed's not coming back and even if he did, I'm willing to bet he is nowhere near NBA shape. 

I'd be shocked if he's on someone's roster in late April.

I heard that interview on the radio he kept saying, "Im not reporting this as news, but this is what I think." so it is just him speculating

Yeah, I heard that this morning.  It really was complete speculation, and honestly it made me feel like he was actually less likely to come back, since I was afraid Sheed had already worked it out with the C's that he was coming back, but SAS made it clear this was just something Sheed was considering and going back and forth on all season.

what kind of shape is sheed in? he was fat last season on a team 4 minutes from a title. highly doubt he has been keeping himself in playing shape...

  You've got to admit, though, all of the stories about Sheed hanging around in Boston are a little odd if he hadn't at least thought about making a comeback. Doesn't he live on the other side of the country?

I respect the fact Stephen A got the Divas Uniting in Miami 10 days before The Disaster I mean 'The Decision'. I think in this situation its opinion based nothing factual. I wouldn't put it past Stephen A, he is an insider. He needs no intermediaries just a click away to call whoever he wants. 

Doesn't change the Fact: I have the Need 4 Sheed.

I wish we could do line change substitutions in basketball.  Like, Troy Murphy would run on to the bench, and Rasheed would enter the game to play defense.  When we were on offense again, Murphy would enter for Sheed.

Offensive Murphy + defensive Sheed would be a pretty good NBA player, even at this stage.  It would be like Raef in his prime (but playing on a minimum contract).

Maybe Sheed is an attention Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.?  Maybe 13-dimensional chess wizard Danny Ainge pays for him to show in Boston occasional to create misdirection about future Celtics plans?
