Playoff rotation assuming perfect health (minutes in parentheses):
Rondo (40) Delonte (20)
Ray (36)
Pierce (36) Green (22)
KG (32) Baby (20)
Shaq (18) JO (16)

Line-up to finish games:
Rondo
Ray
Pierce
Green
KG

General depth chart
PG: Rondo/Delonte
SG: Ray/Delonte/Wafer
SF: Pierce/Green
PF: KG/Baby/Green
C:  Shaq/JO/Krstic

Buyout preferences (for injury insurance)
[a stretch PF/C]
[a back-up PG/SG]

Main concerns
[assimilating Jeff Green]
[health of Delonte, Shaq, and JO]
[too few minutes for too many players?]
[Baby vs. Jeff Green]

--------------------------------

Questions
So how do people feel about our team? Any other major concerns? How will Big Baby deal with fewer minutes due to Jeff Green?

I agree with the general breakdown of your minutes, but would add the following:

IF we can get Troy Murphy, then I think Shaq's minutes should be 20, and BBD & JO should have a dropoff.  I'd give Murphy about 20 minutes on this team if he knows our system by then, which I would expect him to.

Shameless bump.

I don't think big Baby and Jeff Green are really fighting for minutes with one another. I'm hoping Jeff Green is used primarily as a 3. In some cases I think he will be used as a 4 depending on match ups (say if Lebron or Carmelo are playing the 4) but I think generally Pierce will be backed up by Green and Kg by Baby

I think Baby still gets some minutes at C. It's hard to stop doing what won us 33 games before Perk came back.

Good job, but I think Curly will play at least 10-15 minutes, behind Shaq. JO if available would play his 10 minutes. Otherwise, and before signing any free agent, that's the rotation.

I don't know if the free agent signings can play a role in the playoff rotation, time will tell.

I'd rather see Jermaine O'Neal playing some of Big Baby and Green's minutes. Also, Garnett playing more.

I don't want to see Green at the 4 except if there's the need to match-up a small-ball line-up. Miami playing with LeBron at the 4, for example. Otherwise, he's just too much of a defensive and rebounding liability. I'd rather play Glen Davis.

No, for the reasons stated above.

Yes.

1: Rondo/Delonte
2/3: Pierce/Ray/Green/Delonte/Wafer
4/5: KG/Shaq/JO/Baby/Krstic/Green

Yes.

But it also depends on the quality of the players. I wouldn't hesitate to sign Corey Brewer or Derrick Brown even though they don't really fill an obvious and immediate need. Actually a wing stopper in that ilk would be one of my priorities.

Good. At this point, injuries are the bigger concern. It won't be a problem.

Sorry, that was what my mind went right to.

TP, I agree with most of your breakdown except that I now personally operate under the assumption that JO will never be healthy enough to depend upon this season, even in the playoffs.  Who knows what we'll get by the time he's back from this surgery.

Danny insists JO will be back. So does JO. He's been resting long enough.

BBD has been closing out games a lot with the Big Four.  People have talked about Green playing a Posey-like role as a stretch four in a small lineup with the Big Four, especially at the end of games.  Actually using Green in that role takes away minutes from Davis.  I'm not sure if you would all it fighting for minutes, but Green is pretty clearly positioned to take some minutes away from Davis.

I think we will use either Rondo, Ray, Pierce, Garnett, Murphy/Green lineup down the stretches...or a Rondo, Delonte, Ray, Pierce, Garnett lineup.  I don't think there will much change to that.  I could even see if we are up by 4-7 points with 1 minute to go a lineup of Delonte, Ray, Pierce, Garnett and Murphy/Green.  It would be hard to not have Rondo in there, but we are trying to hold a lead and it might be a free throw shooting game.  Obviously though if Rondo is hot, he wiill be in there no matter what.

Only the "Big Four" will log moderate to heavy minutes.  As in past years, Doc will fill in the blanks with "roll" players.  Green might average 25 mpg against one team, and then only 12-14 mpg against another.  Same with the rest of the bench.

For example, Krstic might not see much time at all against Orlando if Shaq is healthy. Green might log heavy minutes against the Knicks, but less time against Chicago. It all depends on what Doc feels he needs against certain line-ups.
