Don't want Bibby.

Let Avery handle the minutes for now.  He has two games to prove what he could do.   Just make sure he is on the floor with Pierce.

If he fails, then sign a third PG and send Avery to the D-League to play PG.

I agree with Bankshot, we defiantely should bring in a vet point as insurance. If they've been waived, they'll come here to play. Right now, if Delonte goes down, you're looking at Bradley or Pierce at point, neither of which is attractive in a playoff setting.

We do need a vet point as insurance. No question.

disagree about playing bradley...
doc won't do it. he will play PP as a point forward like he did when rondo was out hurt...i expect to see a lot of pierce and green together until west returns...bradley won't get a sniff and there is a reason why. he is lost and useless right now

Yep.  Doc won't play Bradley, unless the Celtics have a big lead.  I'd rather have Arroyo than Bibby.  Arroyo wouldn't complain about being 3rd string and he's a good ball handler.

with only 25games left in the regular season until the playoffs, I wouldnt be surprised if delonte is being sat out as a precautionary reason. Theres no reason to play him on a sprained ankle if you dont have to...our upcoming schedule isnt that bad

this gives Doc a chance to experiment with green also...i hope west returns later this week..and it is 2 games..not a big deal...but for tonight..run PP at point and mix and match from there.

And some people dismissed my thread "We desperately need a backup point guard." ::)

Told you Delonte can't stay healthy.  Totally unreliable in that regard.

it's a sprained ankle, a minor, common basketball injury. Delonte will be fine in a few days

true...but west's injuries this season have been an issue...
inuries?

he broke his wrist, stuff happens. A sprained ankle is nothing, I sprain my ankle playin wii with my kids all the time

apparently it is bad enough to sit for at least 2 games...Cs have little depth right now...forget the playoffs..they gotta get through the next 25 games..they need bodies

Eh. We all know how overly cautious Danny & Doc could be... I'd bet money that if it was a playoff game, West would be playing.

Does anyone know if they can cut a 10-day contract guy at any time?  Because if they can, I would get Antonio Daniels to Utah ASAP.
I watched Javaris Crittendon play PG against the Claws around a month ago.  I think he could handle 10 minutes a game to back up Rondo, and he's got NBA experience.

The reason I say Daniels is that he has played a ton of years in the NBA, including some at a very high level in San Antonio.  He could step in immediately and help, without having the worries of him struggling to learn the system you would have with a young guy like Crittendon.

Major Suckage. But its only a sprain. On the bright side if there is one, Avery Bradley is FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Hoping Doc doesn't overplay Rondo just to avoid playing a Rook. Doc its OK to give minutes once in while to the rookie. No better time than tonight. FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Avery Bradley.

Haven't followed his comeback bid in the NBDL. Wonder if he can still cut it?

Was a solid defender back in the day. Not sure on his ability to run an offense.

Daniels is an option, but I'd take guys like Garrett Temple or Cedric Jackson before him. They've also been in NBA teams and are better players. At least they'll defend at a NBA level.

Or Jamar Smith. He even runs the Boston offense in Maine and was in the training camp.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure either one of them would be adequate for 8 to 10 minutes a game.

Who's going to defend the opponent PG when Rondo is resting?

Whet twitt i read on ESPN Boston said he was out tonight and MAYBE Wednesday. Doesn't sound too bad and I haven't seen anywhere that he's out 2 games for sure.
Did I miss something?
