How is this guy going to get minutes?

We already have BBD backing up KG and Green backing up PP.

play him instead of Kristic...better rebounder and can hit threes.

Excellent news. Doesn't he rebound really well?

EDIT: Yes. 8.5 career RPG in 29.0 MPG.

He's also 6'11, 245. Meaning he can play center.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

How young is our team? We need our stars to get major rest for the playoffs. This will help and foul trouble will now have capable backups.

Not sure how much help he'll be. The only reason i would to sign him is to keep him away from Miami. He can make a bigger impact on the Knicks or Thunder team. Mike D'Antoni knows how to utilize big man with Range like Murphy. But I would love for him to go to Oklahoma City. They are in dire need of some scoring at the position. I could see him supplanting Serge Ibaka as a starter to Spread the floor for Westbrook and Durant.

I'm psyched at the idea of Murphy coming here.  The only people who aren't are the ones who don't know much about him.  The guy is a very talented player who can spread the floor and put up big rebounding numbers, which is rare from the center position.  He could and should start over Krstic if we get him.  I think he would be a great addition to the team.  It would also be great to have our own "birdman." Not because of tatoos, but because of the beak that guy has

IF he does come here, more likely back up to Shaq til JO returns, and have Krstic as the insurance C. So before playoffs, we might have a Shaq/Murphy/Kristic for the C rotation. ::)

If having too much depth for the playoffs is our biggest issue, then we're in pretty good shape I'd say

I wonder who gets the time though?? We have Baby Shaq and Nenad.. I would say Murphy is better then Nenad so if we have a 2nd unit of

West
Wafer or Butler if he comes here..
Green
BBD
Murphy/Jo/Kristic

I mean JO has to prove he is healthy. He hasn't, so one in the hand is 2 in the bush. I think i used that saying right!  ;D

Miami's probably the more straightforward option for him.  They'd probably play him 25-30 mpg as a stretch 5 with a few extra minutes as a Bosh back-up until Haslem returns.

I'm not sure what kind of role Danny/Doc would offer him.  Would they offer him the 20 back-up 5 minutes behind healthy Shaq that Perk was getting when he first returned?  Would they offer him Baby's spot behind KG? Would they offer him the Luke Harangody/Semih Erden role of playing when everyone else is hurt?

Just not a very clear job description for him here.

Don't get me wrong, I really want to bring him in.  I just see it as a tough sell.

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari

its"one in the hand is worth two in the bush"

so not only did you get the saying wrong, but the correct saying still would not apply in this situation :P
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

Well, we have a roster spot open for Murphy and Miami doesn't. Even says so in the article.

Miami, I GUESS, could cut someone soon if they really wanted too, but "straightforward" wise, Murphy could sign to Boston now before Miami has a chance to make room for him.
