Cant wait. I miss the big guy. Hopefully he's healthy enough to play more than a string of like ten consecutive games.

so Shaq comes back not too long after Perk gets traded...its kind of scary thinking how Shaq went injured after the Lakers game where Perk started and came back shortly after he got traded...i hope its just a pure coincidence...because i love both players

im hoping im very very wrong about this

other than that, good news, now we have Shaq back, JO close, less than 6 weeks, and Kristic is actually impressing me

I'm looking forward to it, too.  We *need* Shaq if we're going to win this year.

Sherrod Blakely had metioned it on twitter that Shaq may play this Wednesday against PHX. 50-50. But yea, his return should be sometime this week...and much needed too.

Good news.  And hopefully he's where he was in the first half.  The last few weeks that he played he looked slowed.  I hope to see him throwing down more dunks and alley-oops off of passes from Rondo and the Big Three.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
I wouldn't even mind if they waited another week.  I want him as close to 100% healthy as possible.

We've got Johnson here for the full 10 days...or even 20 possibly.  I'd maximize this as long as I could.

Yes, I want Shaq back like everyone else.  But not to keep going down this path with injuries...  There's the home-court factor, and I acknowledge that.  But I don't think we'll get it, and I also think this team doesn't need it to win...

Shaq who?  It's been a while.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

They need him back.

IMO, he is the lynchpin to whether or not we win it all this year (barring any unforseen injuries to the core).

You know I love PERK!
This seems odd too, they had a great record with Shaq until Perk came back and went 8-4...
I think this is to setup a Shaq & Kobe Finals rematch. I think they want to state that Shaq has really made a difference for Boston winning it and replacing Perk int he same time frame.
What I am looking forward to is "How much weight he has lost?" I think they closed him down to get into better shape for the final run.

I really think he was not injured but sent to Florida to get into better strength and running shape.

Just a gut feeling, no information.
The NBA is a league of conspiracies so why not?

they should just sit him till like the last 5-10 games - we need every playoff minute he can give us. its ridiculous but kind of sadly true.

I like the FLA spa conspiracy. I do wish that Shaq could lose like 40 lbs before the playoffs. It might improve his lift.

Also, anyone else feel that once the playoffs start Shaq should start but then BBD, Green or Kristic should finish the games? All of those guys help improve the team FT shooting. I guess the same could be said about Delonte for Rondo at the ends of games.

i would wanna see a lineup of the big 4 plus Green actually. isn't that what Doc said as to why he was brought here? To be our "Posey-esque finisher"?
