The idea of this is to get a solid group of 6-8 posters, who will then become in charge of their own team. It's pretty simple, to be honest. Once we get 6 or 8 posters, we will then draft a team of ten from a pool of all time Boston Celtics players. Then, when we are done with the draft, there will be games posted between two teams and members of the Mock Draft will have to give a easy 3 reason vote on who they think would win that respective game. (Outside votes are welcome). For a game to be posted we need the owner of every team to write a reason on why they think their team would win against their opponent (This makes it easier for the voters to vote).

For example:

Defense:

Russell will guard Walton because..

Bird will guard Pierce because..

Offense:

We want so and so involved early....

(You can even run your own type of offense).

As you can see it's very simple. Also, you can only value a player on their time with the Celtics. For instance, I can't draft Shaq and try and value him at his Lakers days.

Finally, you can trade all you want. But, I need one person to be in charge of trades. Sort of like a guy who records all the trades so we know where we are.

The schedule is TBD.

Here is a basic outline of what an owner needs to do:

Draft a ten man team.
Write up a some sort of reasoning on why you will win and how.
Vote on the games!! (Make it detailed so the person knows why you voted either way)

Good question. I see no reason for me to deny anyone to have another person help them out. So, the answer to your question is, yes. You can have one Co-GM to help you out.

What's the drafting schedule gonna look like?  How is the draft set up (i.e., how is draft order determined, is it a snake draft, etc.?)

Once we get the 6 or 8 people we are looking for, I will determine the draft schedule. It will probably be 6 hours per pick, if you don't make your pick, the next person is up and you can make your pick whenever you come on. And, yes, it is a snake draft.

I'm in.

Are there any restrictions?
How many seasons players must have been playing in Boston to quallify?
3 season? Or one season, which would include Payton, McAdoo, Maravich, Shaq...
Its overall status or just in Celtics season (Walton for career or Walton 1985-87)?

Looking forward to play and represent European fans :)

I believe I said this is my original post, but the deal with the years, and players is very simple. You can't count Shaq's value when he was a Laker. You only count him as his years with Boston, so he doesn't have too much value.
