I had to be in the car for four hours and got to listen to just about every caller on the SportHub talk about how Perk stinks, Perk meant nothing to the celtics, Perk can't score (Um, Celts don't need scoring from their center), etc.

The simple question is this -- where were all of the Perk haters prior to Thursday's trade?

I been there since Day 1.  I thought Boston fans overrated him tremendously.  Boston fans love him because he came cheap and was blue collar lunch pail guy.  Boston fans love "dirt dogs".  It takes a full year to come back from an ACL and now he has an MCL issue.  Put it this way do you still love Perk at 8 or 9 Mil a year?  Didnt think so.

Imagine your an OKC fan and your team trades 40% of its starting line-up and in return gets a 5'9 bench shooting guard and a 6'10 center coming off major knee reconstructive surgery and now has a sprained MCL and is unavailable for 3 weeks. Oh yeah to boot you give up a top 10 protected 1st round pick in 2012. Exactly! Brilliant move DA.

Way to go DA way to go.  Foresight man!

I've never understood how fans can go from love to almost complete hate all in the space of 24 hours.

I know, at cb here, Perk is highly regarded and most people are sad to see him go. I just hope he's not listening to all that blather you heard. Wow, NBA players have to take so much critisism (god I just had a brain freeze and can't figure out how to spell that word) constantly, I don't know how they take it honestly.

You are right, Danny totally swindled Sam Presti out in OKC. It is clear from his team that Presti has no clue what he is doing.  ::)

Lurking is right, because most of them never posted.

Love the sarcasm.  Perk will not be himself this whole year.  Takes  a year to come back from an ACL and on top of that he is a big guy which means even more diffiuclt to come back.  The only reason he came back this quickly was because its his "walk" year.  I would not be surprised if he has to shut it down.  If Perk walks then yes Presti got taken.

Everybody loves Perk, but most C-fans also realize that he is a big liability on offense. But why would you state an obvious fact about a guy you really respect, love and root for coming back from a serious injury?

The people coming out from under their rocks to say it now, probably say it because they believe that DA knows best and they support his decisions. But I think that most of them still root for Perk and wish him the very best. I know that I do.

Love the man, but the player is insanely overrated around here.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Leon Powe, Bill Walker and Tony Allen's departure got more people riled up on this blog than Perk's....so, I guess we overrate all our players.

Green is a restricted free agent while Perk is unrestricted.  Celts can match.  Big difference.
