At this point I'm just trying to be excited.  Whether you like it or hate it, the next few weeks should be interesting from a fan's perspective.

I'm also excited to see what Green can do with the 4 All Stars.  Posey looked great with them, as does Baby now.  Green's better than both of them, so that lineup could be very, very dangerous.

I am expecting our Vets to be over the shock of the trade and play better.

I was hoping the sky is falling whining died off here but I knew it would not.

I'm expecting that Rondo won't be the first and only guy running on the break any more while waiving to his elderly teammates to hurry up.

I'm expecting that there will be someone in green that can body up the big SF's in the post besides Paul.

I'm expecting this infusion of young energy to lift these old timers' games like the kids on the '91 team re-energized Bird, McHale, and Chief.

I'm expecting a lineup that includes Rondo, VW, and Green to push the ball like it's 1964.

I'm expecting the C's to win.  A lot.

i know nothing about jeff green's play, I don't know what his strengths are, I have never seen him play, I have no idea.  I am hoping that he is decent and can play some defense because with that wingspan he could potentially be very valuable to us.

if krstic is anything more than our 3rd string center come playoff time, i will be very unhappy.  from what i remember of him from NJ, he is awful.  he is a slightly better version of mikki moore, and that is a bad thing.  ok he can hit a midrange jumper, but when teams commit to defense against us like they usually do he is not gonna see too many open looks.  he's not a physical player, he has no inside game.  to be honest i'd rather powe get mins at the 5, without having any idea of how in shape he is.  i hope i'm wrong, but in my opinion, anyone deluding themselves into thinking he is going to give us solid mins is going to be disappointed.

When he was in New Jersey, Krstic was on his way to become an All-Star.

He was never the same again after that serious injury, that's obvious. Went from quality starter to modest backup. But the only thing Mikki Moore (or Semih Erden) can do better than him in a basketball court is changing ends faster. Krstic is as good or better than them in pretty much everything else - in some cases, like shooting or post defense, he's in another galaxy. Fairly superior basketball player.

Lawrence Frank knows how to use Krstic, who was very productive when Frank coached him in NJ. I have very high hopes for both additions.

TP, dpaps. The Lawrence Frank angle excites me. To think he wasn't heavily consulted in evaluating Kritsic's game as a good fit for the Cs is folly. I was sold on the trade when it was polled here for the first time. This makes it even better.  Thanks.

I'm expecting pretty much what Jon and dpaps says.

They will be fine. May not happen overnight, but they will fit in.

and I expect to beat the Clips tonight, no matter how talented they are.

I had forgotten about the Frank connection. Good call.

Excited is a good word. I have no doubt that we're stronger now than we were earlier this week, and I'm anxious to begin integrating the two new players - and the others who are coming - into the Celtic system.

I have to ask this. Are the Celtics stronger if Shaq remains a guy who can't be depended on to be healthy and if JO is the same JO he has been so far this season?

I am expecting that Jeff Green will make the most of this great opportunity he has been given.

Not only will his play with the starters benefit him in many ways as enumerated above by our astute posters. But also, his play with the second unit will benefit him almost as much. On the second unit, while he won't be asked to "be the man" right away (BBD, Delonte will dominate at first)he will "be the man" eventually, and the confidence that this will imbue in him will give him the potential to be one of our bridges to the future.

He's a humble kid now, but he will have the swagger.....soon!

And I'll ask in return: Are the Celtics stronger with a center with a bad knee, no lift, no lateral mobility and an injury to a second knee that's undoubtedly tied to the first?

I don't buy into the injury comparisons. The Celtics sold Perkins high - very high - and given the continued depth at the 5, I'm not concerned about finding someone to play it.

when do buyouts actually start happening? I mean, the 1st is a few days away, we are running out of time to get some good guys. When/if that happens, then I can tell you what I'm expecting.

What is the continued depth at the 5? Krstic and.............two guys who have not played in quite awhile. How is that depth?

As for tonight's game, given that Eric Gordon is not playing, the Celts actually should come out with a victory
