I think TJ Ford would be a great backup PG if he's bought out.

TJ Ford
Murphy
Powe

For the three buyout pickups

One would think he could get more playing time elsewhere ... but his value is pretty low at the moment so maybe not.

Maybe he is a legitimate possibility.

MIA is after a PG and C so TJ probably ends up there if bought out.  There won't be much playing time here with Rondo and West ahead of him.

I think he'll join New York, they've showed interest in the past. D'Antoni likes to use Douglas off the ball and Carter isn't up to the job. They can waive Carter and sign Ford. Or Charlotte, they tried to trade for him last season. He'd fit well in Paul Silas style too. Miami could use an improvement over Arroyo, but Ford would be a bad fit there. Who else? Memphis, they're giving minutes to Jason Williams. The Grizzlies should be the best option for him.

I prefer West as Rondo's backup. Ford would be extraordinary as a 3rd option, but I guess he'd ask for playing time guarantees. But if he doesn't get them from anyone, yeah, bring him in. Good depth in case something goes wrong with Delonte's hand.
