I enjoy watching Denver now that Melo is gone. It is nice to see ball movement for a change.

What is funny is they play well, but the don't have anyone who will appear in Sportscenter highlights. Melo could have a horrible game, but get a highlight when a shot fell late in the game on an iso exaggerating his contribution and making it tougher to get him to buy into a system and play wiser.

Yea, just watched the end of the game with my wife, we were pullin for Denver really hard. Would have been nice to see them get the win over portland on the road on a night where the knicks lose to CLE lol
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

JR Smith could show up in some highlights.

Nitpicking aside, I agree with you - their new dedication to team basketball is fun to watch, even though they reverted back to their old matador defense down the stretch.

Admittedly, though, I wasn't rooting for them in this game.  It's hard for me to root against Roy, given what he's gone through in the last year or so.

Roy was clutch at the end of regulation.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I think Goerge Karl got a second life in coaching once the Burden of Carmelo was transferred to the Bricks. He has his type of team together that plays defense and works together and plays with ENERGY!!!! PASSION!!!! EMOTION!!!!!

There are no hall of famers here but a bunch of players who work well together.

They will make life miserable for someone in the WC playoffs, hopefully the Lakers.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

I can honestly say Denver looks pretty good after this trade. On paper they are pretty dang solid, if everything comes together (which with Karl I think it will) I expect them to make a nice playoff run. Still far away from championship material but they could cause a little bit of ruckus like the Thunder of last year tried to.

Lawson/Felton
Afflalo/Smith
Gallo/Chandler
Martin/Harrington
Nene/Anderson

Thats a fun and exciting line up to be working with. If only Martin, Nene, and Anderson's defense could inspire the others to play some, they'd have a legit team.

After this initial post trade burst, the Nuggets will slide into the abyss that is the NBA without superstars.

It's one of the first star trades in years where the trader actually got some pieces of value.

Denver might be decent running Karl's up-tempo game.
