You know Perk wouldn't have played tonight right?

Yep, it's a post-trade night, when everyone is psychologically out of sorts.

I didn't like this trade. When I first heard about it, it felt like I just got punched in the gut, and then the next morning, the same thing.

After reading roughly 150 columns pro and con... I had no idea but every column in favor seemed like a rationalization rather than a reason.

And tonight just confirms it. We traded away our heard and soul. KG's a great help defender, but we've got a big hole in the middle.

God help us if we can't even stop the Clippers.

Thanks, Danny. Your recklessness has finally come back to bite you in the face.

KG is our heart and soul, there is no debate to that. And he's more than just a "great help defender", he's one of the best defensive PF of all time.

And lets not forget our record was 33-10 before Perk even came back. I understand people hate this trade, I did too. But Perk is not the reason we're losing right now. He wouldn't even be playing...

Messing up the chemistry wasn't worth it...I've been trying to convince myself that this was a great trade but I can't anymore. Should have never traded Perk. Team would have been fine even if he sat on the bench for the rest of the season. Kristic seems cool and all but...you can't reinvent the chemistry that starting five had. You just cannot.

the sky is falling  ::) and its impossible to build new chemistry with the new guys. gawd this is sickening  :-X

These guys are playing awful basketball. How many jumpers is KG gonna brick before he realizes he needs to go inside? I hate it when they play stupid. Your jumpers are clearly not falling, so TAKE.THE.BALL.INSIDE. Jeez these guys play dumb sometimes.

Rondo is no Derrick Rose that for sure. Team struggling to score but is no help. He needs some of that responsibility and relief the Big3.

You've been trying but you can't anymore? After what? Not even a full game with our new guys?

Gimme a break . ::)

So perk was our"heart and soul"?

I guess we should put a statue of him next to Red.

This team is integrating new players.

Btw, were only down 7.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

And will everyone stop bringing up Perk playing or not playing? Its really not about whether he plays or not. Completely different knowing your starting center/good friend is injured vs traded to a team halfway across the country and knowing you will more than likely never play with him again. I think most of you really don't realize the type of chemistry this team had and how important it was. The chemistry is one of the things that made other teams fear us.

Was Perkins/Shaq our best player?

All this attention about the Big 4 but without Perk or Shaq this team looks terrible.

after hearing Tommy trash Powe in the pre-game show, I'm not sure if the celtics are really planning on signing him. Mike and Tommy know the scoop and try to lay off trashing our own guys

Michael Smith just compared KG's MVP numbers to Blake. He ignored that KGs numbers were better, Blake's D numbers were nowhere close to KGs oh and the Wolves had the best record in the West. ::) ::)

i heard this too. what trash.

KG (MVP): 2 steals and 2blocks a game, reached the Western Finals.
Blake (future ROY): a combined 1 stl+blk a game, no playoff berth.

i wonder if someone has pace-adjusted stats?

I don't think that the average NBA player is as weepy as Celtic Fan is about the Perkins trade. Good Lord, I keep waiting for a clip of the Zapruder film and a little boy saluting here.

And if they are, let them be the next Celtic out of town.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."
