I'm a bottom line type of thinker...  I don't get emotional about sports and nor do I follow individual players.  When Larry retired in 1992 that was the only individual I ever cared about in the arena of sports.

So, if you look at this objectively, the Celtics just traded Nate for Jeff Green and the Clippers #1 pick.  Perk and Kristic are a wash...both are free agents and could walk.  Yeah, we can debate all day and night (as has been done to death here) about Perk's loss...  But that's not the point of my thread.

Simply put we just traded away a terrible player who never really fit here (Nate) for a guy who is a VERY solid basketball player, and also will be around another year (if not longer) AND the Clippers (yes, the lowly Clippers) #1 draft pick.

There's not a person I know that wouldn't look at this objectively and see it for the steal it is.  Well done, Danny...well done.

Perk and Krstic are not a wash. Hardly at all. That is ridiculous.

And I am a big fan of the trade.

They are both free agents after this season...that is what I meant.  I should have stated their future contracts are a wash.  Neither of them are guaranteed anything...

We got the best player in the trade and he's only 24. Perkins is the one that didn't sign the contract offer, the fair offer that is. That's not Danny's fault.  That's on Perk. Not to mention hes coming off major knee surgery that could easily hamper him going forward.  Which, as you can see from the GS game, is already happening.

Shaq, JO, Krstic, and whoever else is brought here can give us what you lose in Perk. It's not like you didn't win without Perkins this year.  The big 4 make everyone around them better . Especially the center position.

Great trade by Ainge. I'm curious to see the next moves . Whose rumored now (Murphy , Dalembert, Powe, Przbilla) are all upgrades over Semih and Harangody. Topping it off, you get a future building block with the mid 1st pick from the clippers.

Home run.
