What if he goes on the open market, can't get much more than $6 mil a year and decides he wants to play for a team that has been "home" for 8 years?

I know it's a long shot but I would not be shocked if it happened.

I'd be shocked - plus I don't think the C's will have the capspace, maybe the MLE?

I know I might get blasted for this, but I'm not sure I want Perk back as a starter.  He frustrated me to no end.  I really like Shaq better as a starter.  I would want him coming off the bench though.  Not sure if he'd be willing to do that.

He'll either stay in OKC or go to Miami.

We won't be able to get him unless we do a sign and trade.

No chance he is going to Miami.  He is getting paid.  It will be OKC, or a team like Houston who is under the cap.

Miami has no cap space and no assets to sign and trade for him.

I know it's a long shot but I would not be shocked if it happened.

I think by trading him they also showed, that they don't believe in Perk being a part of the rebuild.

The value of either Big Baby or Perkins yesterday was really, really high - however, the Celtics made a conscious choice in picking Baby over Perk (I realize the trade wouldn't have worked with BBD instead of Perk, but other trades could have been made).

Perk is gone, we'll hopefully just see him twice a year in the future.
