As much as I hate to see Perk go, The West Just got tougher!!!!!

Perk on OKC will add the toughness needed to compete with the Lakers - Finally! as well as Nazr Mohammed. I see them as now being just even with the Lakers starting 5. OKC bench still worries me in a 7 game series vs LA. I also do think that OKC might sign Perk to a long term contract in the offseason - why not?

Portland - just upgraded tremendously. You can put Camby at the 5 Aldridge at the 4, Wallace at the 3, Matthews at the 2, Miller at Pg and Mills, BRoy Fernandez Pryzbilla Batum off the bench! Portland just jumped OVER LA in the race. Portland has star power and depth. This team only goes as far as Camby's knees will take them.

Two teams got better (Portland, OKC), two teams got worse (Denver, Utah). East is still deeper IMO. The Champ comes out of the East this year.

I still dont think OKC, Portland, or Dallas are real contenders.

All 3 have a legit chance of hanging with LA in a 7 game series. on Wednesday nite or was it Tuesday...LA just escaped with an overtime win vs Portland....with the addition Gerald Wallace, they CAN BEAT LA in a 7 game series.

Like that a lot - BEAT LA!!! BEAT LA!!! BEAT LA!!!

Acutally Dallas looks  a LOT tougher than they did in years past.....Chandler gives them a new, tough look. Remember they beat the C's a few weeks ago in Boston. solid starters, plus they got Roddy B back. and a deep bench. they will go far!
