"I’ll be happy wherever I end up, but Boston is always holding a special place in my heart," Powe told CSNNE.com on Thursday evening.

If the C's wanted Powe, wouldn't they have taken him back in the Harnagody/Erden trade?  I would always welcome Leon Powe back here, but I think they have their sights set on some better players.

What do you guys thinks?

Haven't seen him play in 2 years really, didnt seem like he was getting much burn in Cle. At this point dont know how effective he could be.

thats the problem, I thought on him first beause what he used to bring
Not a clue if he will ever able to give that with playing time
Cle had no interest at all to see and Injurie never recover fully.

So I am exceptic but if hes tried i will know its because injurie is better.

He was getting ZERO run on the worst team in the league, so I'm pretty sure he won't be that attractive to a contending team.

Of course he would, I think Power would be happy to get any contract at this point.

As I rememeber, before he tore the right meniscus, he finally got to play and put up some ok #'s for a few games.

I'd be OK with signing him as the 14th man/mascot.  My one concern after the Perk trade is the presence he brought to the lockeroom, and the overall toughness, and Powe would fill some of that void.

Much like the resigned House when they lost Posey to keep some leadership in the lockeroom, they could look at a Powe signing the same way.

Basically because they have ZERO interest on playing him. Thye had other plans., they dont play Moon either and I am pretty sure a couple here could feel he is from some use.

Even if that doesnt tell me anything either because almost any player can have ok No.s on that team

The thing that actually worries me is the meniscus part.

I think sadly for him Powe days on the NBA are over, If his legs are good enought to play I would love to have him on my team, he brings hustle and desire, thing we can really use right now.
But this at the end is a Doctors thing .

TP Chris, you bring up a good point about him bringing toughness to the locker room, now that you lost Perk. Plus it brings back some of that family feeling as Leon was very well liked while with the C's. Like I said before I wonder what he looks like now after the surgery and not having played in an NBA game all season

I hope not, he could not even crack the Cavs lineup.  Why do fans always over value their old guys?

I like Powe, but we really don't need him.

Leon Powe might be interested in a return to Boston, but I sure hope Boston isnt interested in a return to Leon Powe.

However, with the deadline deals I could see another bonehead move like this being made.

Yes, I guess they cou;d have, but having him bought out would save them some money.

Still, not seeing Powe as a Celtic again.
Yup

The Celtics do not need Leon Powe,Powe is a power forward,we already have KG, BB, JG .. Definitely not.
Neither Murphy nor Powe,we need a center, Marcus Camby?
