I would imagine we have smaller trade exceptions for Erden and Luke as well - for what that's worth

Danny didn't trade healthy centers.  Perk was out with an injury and Semi has been banged up all year.

Positive side? How about the fact that we are MUCH better for at least half of every game... Offensively, it was tough having Perk and Rondo on the court at the same time. Assuming Murphy signs, we are can surround Rondo with shooters and slashers.

- Pierce is a warrior but may be hurting and definitely needs less minutes to get healthy.
- Danny is not worried about Dwight any more and more worried about the heat.
- Match ups with Lakers may also improve if we can get Toy Murphy.

You know I always thought the same thing, that the Celt's defensive system was really complicated. However, every time a new guy joins the team (most recently hearing this from JO), they say that the defensive schemes are really simple. They are just predicated on effort and focus (like any defense).

It is Doc's offense that takes alot of time to get down. There is alot of timing involved.

I agree with your second point completely. I also basically agree with your first point but players on the team seem to disagree.

Good points....and I'm envisioning a potential matchup with LA, with Green matched up with Artest at SF? He has 2 inches advantage on Ron Ron

Advantage? Celtics.

Place Green at PF in a matchup with Gasol? Still advantage Green. In the Celtics System, I think Doc would allow Jeff to pull Gasol outside, where I think JG would have a Field Day with Gasol. He's much too slow to deal with the young 6'9" PF/SF.

In OKC's system, Jeff was matched up with Gasol in many post situations, where of course he'd look bad. Gasol punishes nearly everyone in that traditional setting.

Pull Gasol's older, slower-footed frame outside, like JG can do with his deep threat and quickness?

I will Always miss Perk, but I believe Danny knows what he's doing here.
