Since I still don't know what to make of the trade, I'm thinking about the task at hand, which is Denver in a few hours.

By my count, we only have 8 players available (Big 4, BBD, West, Wafer, AB), with no backup SF, PF, or C in general.

Yikes.

Honestly, if we can go into the high altitude against this run-and-gun team and leave with a W, I would be shocked/impressed.

Depending on physicals, we may have the same lineup Saturday.

Denver is working in a lot of new players tonight, but they should win this game easily. My guess is that since the trade is still not officially approved, at least according to WEEI, the Celts will have 8 players against the Clippers also.

Is that supposed to make anyone happier?

It should be approved sometime tonight numbers-wise, and they will have nearly two full days for everyone to get the physicals.

Either way, Shaq better be walking with full-body pads on and JO better be riding the stationary bike.

I'd imagine we'll move Wafer or West into the starting line-up and play Pierce at the 4.  And then use Baby to cover for Paul and KG off the bench.

It's not going to be pretty.  The team's probably going to be a little depressed to.  Tight-knit group loses a beloved brother (Perk), a wacky nephew (Nate), a friendly foreign exchange student (Semih), a stoner cousin (Daniels) and a plucky mascot (Gody) in one fell swoop?  All in exchange for a young guy nobody's tight with, a foreigner and a bunch of empty roster spaces with ?s on them.

SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Can't find the source with everything going on but I read somewhere that we brought Tiny Gallon for the time being.

Yeah, tonight's game is gonna be rough.  I hope our chemistry isn't damaged moving forward.

We will definitely miss our guys, but the new guys should be fine. Nate became a different guy when he came over, as did West. Wafer never seemed tight with anyone, and he seems to be fitting in well with the team (sans the dustup with West).

And if we ever need a chair thrown at an opposing player, we have arguably the best in the game in Kristic.

Murphy, Powe, 'Sheed, Moon, Parker, or whoever are all good character guys.

Rondo, Allen, Pierce, KG, Davis. Bench West, Wafer, Bradley, a scarecrow, some cups of noodles, prayers and crushed dreams of 18.

Big Baby is going to be doing ALOT of chucking tonight, same with Wafer.

Rondo is playing 40+ minutes.

I thought this was going to be an easy win.
