Hearing this over on the RealGM boards, citing Ken Berger.

Sacramento needed to add salary (they were below the minimum threshold).

So we officially have 3 open slots for players who are bought out.

Side thought: the move creates a trade exception of $2.47 million.

What if Ainge has a side phone call with Cleveland still going (begun before the deadline)? Perhaps the Erden/Gody trade could still bring back Parker?

Would feel a lot better about today if I knew we were getting a wing defender and Troy Murphy.

Finally, someone understands!  Wink and a Nod!  Danny trading
Gody (2nd Round pick)  Erden (worth a late first round pick)
for a 2nd round pick doesn't make sense.  Nope.  Not buying it.

Outside of Causeway, heard that here were some of other trade discussions where teams wanted Erden included with Nate and Danny wouldn't do it.  Got to think that there is a grassy knoll somewhere for this hit.
Question is, where is the smoking gun???

Danny must have had a discussion with someone before clearing so much roster space.  5 players out.  2 in.

Course there's always D leaguer Employee Number 8
