Can this roster bring home Banner 18?

Can this roster, after both trades, bring home a title?

I personally am shocked about this trade. Perk is a true Celtics, and will be missed by each and every fan of the C's. What a day!

Absolutely. Especially if we add two more bigs with the roster spots we just opened up in the Erden/Harangody trade.

Yes. BUT...JO and Shaq's health is now at a premium. JO must come back next week healthy and Shaq needs to return as well. We cannot beat the Lakers without JO and Shaq.

I also expect Troy Murphy and possibly Leon Powe to join the C's. I would also expect a guard like Rip to join the C's.

It depends.  There are 26 games left.  Is that enough time to work in Green, Krstic, a returning J.O., and three buyouts?  If so, we can be okay, but that's not a lot of time to teach 5+ guys our system.

I don't think they make it out of the east. Not enough time to integrate 4-5 new players into the lineup. I know other teams have made big trades in February and won, but I don't think teams have tried to add 5 new guys with this little time left and won the championship.

Put it this way: I'm nowhere near as optimistic about Banner 18 this year as I was this morning ... it's going to be real tough to integrate the new players in time to be a cohesive unit for the post-season. I'm not real happy, especially about Perk or 'Quis, but I know Danny's got a big plan that will pay off in the long run. No pain, no gain. ;)

Absolutely not...defense was the C's calling card and it just got worse. Imagine if the C's have to play Dwight Howard now? I don't blame the vets for being p---ed. They know their chance to win a title this year just went out the window.

boston has won many games without perkins...i have no doubt they will be the last team standing. they match up better now with the heat...which is the challenge.
