Steal for indy. Look like they could be a tough out for a 6-7 seed

Indiana just got weaker.

Collison, Mayo and Granger is a weak combination defensively across the perimeter and their interior D doesn't do enough to back them up. Makes them increasingly vulnerable on the glass too.

The Pacers would have been better off giving Paul George and Brandon Rush more playing time at the two.

The trade did not go through.

Difficult to say whose fault it was, but Memphis is in full spin-mode/damage-control right now.

My prediction and hope (cause it's funnier) is that the GMs thought the deadline was 3 PM Central and never bothered to check til it was too late.

If it's something that embarrassing it might never come out though.

Hearing that the third team involved (NO) pulled out right at the deadline, and IND/MEM couldn't find a replacement.

if memphis doesn't want him should we trade green for him ?
i know he just joined our team but he could be gone in 4 months.

the trading deadline has passed, so it's not possible. Anyway, I would never trade Green for him, Green is much better, and taller, and he's a restricted FA which means he can't leave unless we let him

i'm talking about trading in the offseason,he could leave if we didn't match any offer by other teams.

Agreed. They dodged a bullet here.

Mayo wouldn't be a good fit in the Celtics either. He'd do well in the Lakers, Miami. I prefer to go forward with Green salaries being equal.

Green is a better fit for us. Why trade him for another combo guard that doesnt really have a set position... How many years have we been without a long athletic small forward that can play above the rim? I feel like Ive been trying to think of good back ups for years. Green finally, FINALLY, fits that mold for us.
