IIRC, my first post was a comment on the front page about how I don´t want Big Al traded for KG. :P

I think my first forum post was a TP for either MikeDfromNP or nickagneta, who defended Rondo against what seemed like an army of bloggers. At least I got that one right.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Here's another TP just for remembering

This was my first on this iteration of Cblog.  Obviously I allude to a previous Cblog post here:

August 8, 2007:
"I'm sticking with the 48 that I suggested last week.  I believe this is a transition season and is a year to gear up for a 2008-9 title run.  I am hopeful that they are cruising come playoff time and make noise in the East."

So, I guess this was my prediction in August, 2007 (I am assuming this was after both the Ray and KG acquisitions).  I am so glad I was wrong -- they made more than noise!

Surprisingly on target...

November 30, 2007, in response to a post by Brickowski stating that the Celtics may be one-shot wonders....Or more likely, the Celtics will be a one-shot wonder like the Miami Heat, who have no chance to win another championship with Shaq in decline and in fact will be lucky even to make the playoffs this year.

"Brickowski, I respectfully disagree. There is no way in hell that you can compare the current Cs with the Heat.  Shaq is a 350lb often injured, soon to be 36 year old, who while he can still be dominant once in a while, he can't be on a regular basis.  Besides Wade, IMO they don't have championship caliber players.  On the other hand, while PP, KG and RA are getting older, they arguably have not peaked and could still be dominant for 2-4 years.  Also, the Cs have a budding star, IMO, with their 21 year old pg and a decent starting 22 year old center.  I just can't see them as "a one-shot wonder like the Miami Heat"."

My first post was in the 'Who do you root for?? (Soccer/Football)'  thread.

AC Milan. This season we have a pretty ****ty team, but we will come back. Big teams always find their way back on top. After all, Milan won more international trophies than any other team 8)
The Immortals:

Iker Casillas, Giacinto Facchetti, Alessandro Nesta, Matthias Sammer, Javier Zanetti, Lothar Matthäus (c), Xavi, Zico, Maradona, Roberto Baggio, Ferenc Puskas, Karl Heinz Rummenigge

Coach:Rinus Michels

Heh, didn't work out for the year i posted that in, but seems very valid given what happened last season... :)

Hi everyone!

I live in switzerland and i'm very passionate about basketball and have been rooting for the celtics ever since some of my favourite players have gotten together to play some of the best basketball i've ever seen and put the green back on top.

With all the discussions going on here about the race for homecourt advantage i just want to point out that that right now, the celtics are the best road team in the nba!

They are currently 23-9 on the road, which makes them the best road team in the league.

You might think to yourself, well they've been great in road games in last year's regular season too and then struggled in the playoffs!

Just rememeber though: They won on the road when it mattered!
they lost against detroit at home, and found themselves suddenly at a disadvantage (yes, it takes one loss at home to give away the homecourt advantage you've been fighting for for 82 games...) Well they made sure they got that first post-season road win and ended the series in game 6 with the second one.

And i'm quite sure no one who has bothered to read my post this far needs to be reminded of game 4 against the lakers...

So if the celtics don't come out of the east as the number one seed (which is a very realistic scenario given that they're trailing the cavs and have injuries piling up), they'll still have a good shot at banner 18, as long as the team can get healthy for the post-season.

I'd rather see a healthy celtics team on the road than a banged-up, shorthanded team at the garden.

My first post was immature and stupid....but hey it was during a hard fought playoff series (so I guess I get a little pass for that).

I hate the Hawks. I really want to punch Horford and Smith in the face. Even though I like Joe Johnson.

There goes smith walking halfway around the world.
