Wonder if Semih had to go
Wonder if JO will eve play again

Is Murphy alive?

Why hasn't he played this year?

I wonder if we'd play Murphy and Baby together.  Hard to see him leapfrogging Baby entirely due to his lack of familiarity with the team and his notorious D.

I do love his skillset though.  A 3-point shooting, rebounding machine.

Not happy about being a Net

Not healthy to begin the season

Kris Humphries worked harder than he did in preseason

Avery doesnt like his attitude about number one

If he is healthy and gets remotivated. (he will, KG will see to that) He will be a huge 20+ mpg asset for the second unit. It may even happen that he is an end of game guy if we need a little shooting and defensive rebounding on the floor.

This guy is tough and can shoot. His biggest drawback has always been that he isnt very athletic when it comes to running the floor. Because of his outside shooting, he is considered a PF but he can certainly play center againt most teams. Obviously not gonna shut down Noah, Howard or Bynum, but we have guys for that already.

Not need, but I would like to have him. I want five healthy quality bigs. I don't want a Shelden Williams scenario again. It played a huge part in costing us a championship.

I dont know I dont really see the need for Murphy. If we could replace Harangody for Murphy I guess I would do it. But we need a back up three not another big man, unless we trade big baby which would just be a bad move at the moment.

Did you seriously say we don't need another big man? Okay, it is true, we need a 3 badly. But we need a big man too. I mean we are likely to be starting Semih Erden at center (and if we trade him Glen Davis) because the 3 centers we got just keep getting hurt.

We need both a big and a 3. Equally.

I want him on this team for what he brings to the defensive boards alone. If we had him backing up Perk last year in the playoffs, I am pretty confident we don't lose that series (even if Perk is injured) because he is that good on the defensive boards.

I would like him but i don't want to give anyone away for nothing.

Maybe Danny could move Nate and Semih for a small forward then sign Murphy? I think that could be the best option.

Murphy could definitely be used right now. A 6'11 big that can shoot the three and rebound? Put up 14 and 10 in Indy in his last year. Who would in their right mind say no to numbers like that?  With Jermaine, Shaq, Perk, and Semih all injured, it's not like we can ignore our bigs situation; we need to get another one, as Big Baby playing Center for 30 plus mins per game isn't going to cut it.  A wing is in order too as a back up for Pierce. Even if it is the immortal Rasual Butler at this point.

Sometimes I feel like Ainge waits too long to get something done. Cost us a title last year.

Murphy is a spectacularly bad defender. As an 1x1 defender, at the 4, at the 5, as a help defender, in transition. Just too slow, lazy, soft and lacks awareness.

Overrated as a rebounder, he cleans his area very well but doesn't rebound out of it or above the rim - see how Indiana replaced him with 2 average rebounders and improved their team rebounding dramatically. One of those guys who boosts diminishing returns, gets lots of those rebounds that would end up in a teammate hands anyway. A good defensive rebounder, solid one overall, sure. But that's it.

Efficient but very limited as a scorer - not enough versatility in the ways he can score, not enough shot-creation skills, so he'll never be a prolific scorer. That wouldn't be a problem in Boston or any other contender. What would be a problem: the lack of scoring opportunities that would allow him to make a large enough positive contribution scoring wise in order to outweigh his negative contribution on the defensive end.

What cost us last year was having multiple injured players, lack of size, and Perkins going down to open up a void in the middle.

Even with all of those flaws, we were good enough and would have won the title if not for Perk going down. This year we will dominate with a healthy squad I hope.

As much as I would love Murphy, I can't see him coming here. At least if he wants real playing time. Right now, he could go to Miami,NY, or Orlando and start for teams with almost an equal chance to win the title.

Right now as I see it, he would be better than Jermaine O'Neal, assuming he doesn't recover from surgery(I hope he does) or Harangody.  We don't need him with Big Baby but it would not hurt to have the depth.
