I would think that Houston are demanding Perk in return for Battier.

I don't think the Rockets will deal Battier to Boston for any of their other assets. Well, maybe, some loosely protected first round picks far off into the future but not their immediate (2011 or 2012) picks.

I think the only pieces C's are willing to move are Daniels, Nate, Bradley and Harangody. Everyone else is too vital in winning a title.

If we trade BBD we would have no backup PF, which is even more important because KG is logging even less minutes then Pierce.

I'd part with Perk for Battier but not BBD; unless it's a bigger deal that involves a solid 4 player.

I'm sure HOU can do much better than a comibnation Nate, Luke, Avery, Marquis, JO for Battier so it's got to involve a piece we weren't looking to move.

Agreed.  I can't think of a deal that makes sense for Houston otherwise (and that one doesn't make sense for us.)

no way would I trade Perk for Battier. Yes, Battier is the ideal backup wing for us, but Perk is our only healthy center at the moment. Not to mention his is a key part of the starting 5 that has never lost a playoff series.

Trading perk for battier is like saying to the rest of the NBA, "Hey, Lakers, prepare to win the title this year, we give up"

Yeah no way we trade perk. Draft picks and some young player has to be involved

Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to Houston and Boston being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Boston had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out unless trade exceptions were used for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Could be a three way deal. I know the Rockets are trying to acquire Gerald Wallace.

Too Expense. Ainge would be foolish giving up Celtics Advantage for backup Forward when he can go cheaper route. 3 cheaper options: 1)Wait for Q to recover meanwhile Von & West fill in, 2)Wait for a buyout, 3) make small cheaper trade to shore up the position.
