  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
All this garbage is created by sites like bleacher report and ESPN so you get visitors and hit and reads and ratings and advertising dollars etc..
It's got nothing to do with Melo.
All major sports sites like this run with any crappy rumour they hear and go with it and milk it for as long as they can. There's not much going on so they build this hype and drama so we keep coming back day after day to hear a new rumour that will get passed around the office or the gym/dinner table/ bowling alley..WHEREVER!
Try and think about how unrealistic these rumours are what evidence there is behind any of them.
Melo to the nets? that got old so they put it away for 2 weeks. Then it was chicagos turn, then LA's turn. Melo to LA? are you kidding me?
Now it's back to NY vs jersey and all these writers know there isn't a chance in hell he's going to Jersey because he'll never sign the extension, yet they write non stop about possible deals and ideas that would make it work.
Makes you realise how much of this 'journalism' is complete garbage and has no basis/merit whatsoever.
Some of these clowns get to decide the NBA MVP too which is such a crock.
It's embarrassing as a basketball fan reading the majority of the garbage on the so called 'premier' sports information sites.
By the way this has nothing to do with celtics blog or anything i'm trying to point out how much garbage has been regurgitated over the past 4 months with the Melo thing.
Really makes you wonder how dumb they think we are.

Please tell me i'm not alone.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I mean, its been this was all year. I hope youre just not getting sick of it now... Chris Broussard is the biggest culprit to blame. Any time his "Source" (which I think there is no source) makes something up he has a special interview on ESPN and all its shows then nothing happens. Hes an idiot.

You're not alone.

Remember all the Lebron to NY talks last season?  How many very serious rumors were certain of that?  The internet is getting ridiculous and the motive you mentioned is dead on.  It makes sense for them... but it's just annoying.

It's true, most of the articles are garbage. It is sports reporting/writing so it's not like anybody is going to hold them to a really high standard. Some of them are alright like I think David Aldridge seems okay. Of course they all have to do all this stupid shameless stuff because they are money harvesting tools like most people. Personally I can't really blame them for that, since they are employees. I blame the employers.

That being said, I believe a lot of them would write the same garbage regardless of any imposition from their employers. Take that Woja???ski for example. I read something today about the Knicks, Dolan and Thomas. A couple of phrases he wrote were things like "sold their soul" and "Dolan has long lusted after Thomas". That guy is a butcher. I mean with all his embellishments you'd think he could come up with something decent. I think the whole thing about Garnett "tarnishing his legacy" (or whatever) originated from some crap he wrote as well.

I'm even more sick of Melo (and LeBron) (as seen in that clip yesterday) whining about all the articles about potential trades.

If Melo wasn't such a pansy and actually manned up and tried to make Denver a winner, there wouldn't be all these ludicrous articles about him.  And for LeBron to come to his defense, was just the icing on the cake.  As the guy on Sports Center pointed out yesterday, what advice would you give him, LeBron, to dodge media scrutiny, hold an hour long TV special?

So sick of both of them, especially for a guy like Melo who has had good talent around him most of his career and never been able to do anything with it.

I dont have a problem with it. You dont have to read the articles or watch the shows.

Every free media outlet has sponsors. Of course there is some conflicts of interest when it comes to reporting the facts but it is on the reader to sift through the garbage. I always read the rumors because there is probably truth to about 20% of everything. I know this going in and they are properly labeled to warn me.

I am sick of Melo talk, so let me start another thread about Melo...

[Just to be clear, I am not making fun of the OP who I agree with regarding the poor reporting going on]

haha
But yeah it was the same with the lebron moving towns thing and it'll be the same with chris paul etc...
Its gotten to a point over the last year where I don't click on stories or watch videos because i know it's all BS.
And i like david aldridge too, he seems to have some kind of integrity remaining...a little old school in a good way.
