I think this one seems fairly reasonable for both sides...
C's Receive:
Jackson
Brown
Bobcats Receive:
Robinson
Daniels
Harangody
Cash (for Daniels Buyout)
Why for the C's?
Jackson fills a variety of needs. He has experience, can score, handle the ball, is a good spot up shooter, and an excellent defender. He has shown the ability to defend face up PF's (Dirk) in the past successfully. This gives us versatility in defending Bosh.
Brown is someone we workout out, and liked, this off-season. In fact, we wanted him ahead of Shaq. He has been playing well and this gives us another 7 footer on the roster.
The extra roster space allows the opportunity to sign a bought out player. Daniels if health permits?
Why not for the C's?
Obviously, Jackson comes with his share of baggage. Will his personality shake our locker room? That said, the word on him is that he usually wears out his welcome after 2 years. So perhaps the clock is reset on our team.
A major issue is cap. We're in prime position to be major players in 2012. Jackson's contract is a hinderance.
This leaves us with only one PG (is Nate really that?) and West has only played 5 games.
Could Brown return to his lazy and injury prone ways? It would be sad to have another 7 footer on the injury roster.
Why for the Bobcats?
Pure salary/personality dump in Jackson. Addition by subtraction in their case. They're able to save salary this season with the cash buyout of Daniels.
Allows more PT for Henderson.
Why not for the Bobcats?
Robinson would be their 3rd pg and it's questionable if he could supplant Livingston, who they're also committed to.
Brown has an expiring contract anyways and has been playing well under Silas.
