I just read that Reggie Miller is not on the list of eligible candidates for this year's Hall of Fame induction.  How does this happen?

Dominique Wilkins also was not a first ballot guy either.  Something needs to be done about the process when Dennis Rodman, Maurice Cheeks, Chris Mullin and Ralph Sampson, five-time Olympian Teresa Edwards, Stanford women's coach Tara VanDerveer, former NBA coach Dick Motta, Philadelphia University coach Herb Magee, college referee Hank Nichols, and Al Attles are considered more "famous" than Miller Time.

Sure, Rodman, Mo Cheeks, Mullin and Sampson are in his class but Tara VanDerveer?  She's famous?!

Love him or hate him, Reggie is one of the all time greats and should be honored with a first time ballot.

And Nique not getting in his first year was worse than Reggie.  The guy was an icon in the late 80's and early 90's.

Once again, too many women, international players, and coaches, and not enough players.  Guys I'd like to see in there:

Dennis Rodman,

JoJo White,

Spencer Haywood,

Marques Johnson,

George McGinnis,

Mel Daniels,

Artis Gilmore,

Bernard King

I'd vote "no" on Cheeks, Jamaal Wilkes, and probably on Sampson (although he gets credit for a fantastic college career).  I'm on the fence about Mullin, but I'd probably vote yes for him.

The Hall is a joke really but so is the Baseball HOF without Pete Rose.   Gambling or not, I think he deserves in for his play.  The Rock n Roll HOF doesn't have Kiss in it either.  All HOF save Football are poorly run.

I'd argue the football HOF is also poorly run.  It really only seems to put in skill positions unless they guy is literally like the best of all time at his position.  I'm not suggesting, punters, kickers, etc. should have the same representation as the RB's, QB's, WR's, etc., but they should at least get 1 a decade (if not more).  They are a part of the game and should be honored for excelling at their craft.
