"The league likes to promote offense, that’s cool. But at the same time, there’s two parts of the game and defense is one of them, and I play it."

Keep on playing it, KG!! We love you!!

Yupp, the more important part.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I'm more of a fan of defense myself. I really don't care about dunks all that much and never have. I get up more for a nice three point shot then I do some kind of jumping out of the roof thing.
Peace through Tyranny

Good defense creates good offense ... it doesn't work the other way around. The Celtics proved quite handily in 2008 how important defense was to this game, and since then, the defensive side of the game has received much more attention ... even in La-La-Land. Great quote ... TP for posting!

Sure the NBA promotes offense, but look at the teams that will be contending for a title... Celtics, Spurs, Lakers, Magic... Its no coincidence that they all have top notch defensive squads.

I agree from a team perspective that good D leads to quality offense.

However, in KG's case, when he makes a couple of shots I see his energy go up on both ends(if that's possible).

I think we should start feeding him in the post early in games.

Anyone else see this or am I imagining it?

Now especially ... he's doing everything with confidence this year, and elevating like he used to. Success at one end definitely feeds the other end with energy ... no doubt.
