Shocker.  The big household name won the fan vote over the lesser known guy.

This contest has turned into who can hype the dunk more. Too many gimmicks.  I liked derozens dunk.  Also making a dunk on the first try its way more exciting.  Everyone knew blake was winning this before it happened.

Should have been Derozan and McGee in the Finals.

Griffen was all hype, he had one good dunk.

First time in years I watched this contest. It will be even longer before I watch it again.

Nothing about jumping over the hood of a car impresses me.

Hate to say it, but they need to axe the contest for a few years. Its old and stale.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

James Jones... James Jones... Really?  Dang.

Much better Dunk Contest this year though even though the Final Round dunks weren't the best, but overall a hell of a lot better than last years.

if you cant make your dunk on the first try, it should be a rule that you cant get a 50.  it's very unspectacular watching someone try over and over and over again.

i lost faith in the dunk contest after Andre Igoudala was robbed back in '06.  He had two spectacular dunks, and we had to wait an eternity for Nate to finally make his dunk, and he ends up winning.

As soon as I found out that the last round would be judged by the "general public", I knew Griffin would be the winner. I love watching the kid, but McGee was ripped off ... his dunks were the most difficult, the most creative, and the most original, but it came down to a popularity contest, and he didn't stand a chance against Blake in that. Shame ... but still one of the best Slam-Dunk Contests in many years.

Agree completely.. It was fun to watch, but kinda predictable when it came to choosing a winner. What's the point of having judges if you're just going to let the fans vote?

But man oh man.. Serge Ibaka. That free throw line dunk was madness. That's the first time i've seen it done with a dude's foot anywhere near behind the line. Insannnneeee. (Let's be honest.. Even MJ, Dr. J, and James White had an entire step over the line.) Ibaka might of had a toenail over, but not much more.

Yep Blake had this won before there was even a dunk thrown down. It's sad it has to be that way.
