i think we're giving away too many pieces

i rather keep JO and bbd, I believe when JO returns sometime in April he will contribute very soon...and BBD is good

i dont want jamison on this team for some reason, two bigs for one?

Quis and Nate for Parker and Sessions, yes...if that doesnt work out, id throw in like a pick, semih, gody and lastly bradley

No. This trade NEVER needs to happen. Boston gives up wayyyyyyy too much. BBD is too valuable. I would not take Jamison over BBD right now. When Delonte comes back, we won't need sessions.

I would like to acquire Parker, but I don't want to give up BBD or Erden to get him. Plus, when JO comes back, he will be too valuable as a shot blocker and rebounder to give up.

We need a backup 3, but not at the cost of moving a key piece like BBD. Plus, come playoff time, Nate will win a playoff game, just like last year. When he is playing off the ball at the 2 with Delonte at PG, he will play much better. Wafer is a little undersized, but can play the 3. We don't need a fire sale to shore up one position.

Why do the Celtics want the overpayed small shooting PF?  He is no longer all-star level but is payed at that rate.

I don't actually mind that trade as I believe JO is done and frankly he isn't needed.  Jamison is a much better shooter then Davis.  Sessions is better then Robinson.  And with Daniels health, Parker is a much safer option off the bench.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Sign me up for this trade.. but I don't see Cleveland ever approving this.

Jamison?

No thanks.  Weak player.  KG owned him in last year's playoffs on one leg.  Rashard Lewis guarded KG better.

Davis is the far better player at this point in their careers.

Sessions is better than Nate, and Parker is better than any SF on our bench.

Jamison is a better offensive player than BBD, and he's a better rebounder.  He's not as good on defense, though, and he can't play center.

I think, on balance, this trade would make us better, even if it would leave us a little thing at center.  That said, I don't think that Cleveland is getting much value here, so I think they'd pass.  I can see them taking salary dumps for Jamison and Parker, but not for Sessions.

You really think Jamison is better than Davis?

I see Jamison as being far too mentally weak to help us in the playoffs.  Davis gives us more of what we need from a bench big.

He's a better offensive player, and he's a better rebounder.  He would allow the team to further stretch the floor, which is a good thing.  He's an inferior defender, though, and he's more of a 3/4 than a 4/5 like Baby.

I don't buy that Jamison is "mentally weak".  He's put up 18/8 over his playoff career, and even last year, he looked very good, averaging around 20 ppg in the playoffs against the Bulls before struggling against KG (although even there he performed well in Games 2, 3, and 4).

I'll take Davis over Jamison.  Jamison wilted in the playoffs and Davis usually thrives in big situations.  Stats don't tell the whole story.

In all fairness, Davis never had to face KG.   :)

Exactly what I was going to say.  People are bashing Jamison because of one series when he was matched up against KG.  Baby would be similarly abused by KG.  Heck, Baby got abused pretty badly by Rashard Lewis in the '09 playoffs.

I'd definitely take this trade.  Jamison > Baby.  As mentioned, Parker we have more faith will be healthy than Quis.  Sessions will be more consistent than Nate, but I will really miss what Nate brings to the team.  Not just energy in the game, but I think his cheering on the bench seriously gets overlooked.  I don't think JO will give us anything and we'll still have 3 centers rostered in the playoffs in Perk, Shaq, and Erden.

Can we base it on a career in which he hasn't done much in the playoffs?
