looking at their roster, I saw one name that might be interesting - even over the next several years

Chris Andersen - not sure what they'd want for him but if they just want an expiring deal, I'm all for offering Quis and a pick

Unfortunately, I think the guys the C's would be interested in (Andersen, Afflalo in particular) would be guys Denver would be looking to keep.

The one guy who would be a good fit on the C's, who they might be looking to unload however is JR Smith.  He has given them plenty of headaches, and they may not be interested in dealing with him once they officially bow out of the playoff race. 

Daniels, Nate, and a first rounder works for him.  Or maybe send Nate to a 3rd team?

That's true.  But he also shoots very well, and he is a hard nosed defender with size.  There is no way I would have him out there with Nate, but with West, I think he could be a good compliment as the new gunner off the bench.

I would love to have J.R. Smith or Aaron Affalo. Aaron a little more because he is young,athletic, and can hit the open three. All things that  J.R. is but Aaron plays good defense. I think JR has it in him to play good D but I think Affalo fits better for this team. I would be more the happy with JR or Aaron though.

Me too.  Eduardo Najera with some athleticism.

JR Smith would be great, but I don't think we have the pieces to get him. The guy's expiring and a great talent: someone would beat our offer.

I'd have no issue with Gary Forbes as a back up wing.  He's having a very solid year in Denver.  He's playing about 11 minutes a game and shooting 46% from the field, 37% for 3's. He's not a superstar, but he's cheap.  I think Denver would give him up pretty easily and he's really all we need to back up Pierce.  Just someone to give him a spell once in a while.

Luckily George Karl is not the GM. 

Anyways, I don't think that statement really means much anyways.  If they make this trade with NJ, they will be kind of rebuilding on the fly anyways.  It doesn't mean they wouldn't still be looking to get value for players, and get rid of larger contracts.

I read that Chris Andersen is on the trade block if Carmelo is moved. That Denver wants to get out of that five year contract and free up more cap flexibility.

Agreed on Afflalo. I don't think they part with him or Ty Lawson. Everyone else should be available though.
